North Antalya – Home to the 400-acre Antalya Zoo and Nature Park, the northern part of Antalya is a good destination for a day out with the family.
Founded around 150 BC, Antalya has a wealth of sites dating back to Greek, Roman and Ottoman times, the most famous of which is Hadrian’s Gate. Guarding the entrance to the old town, the gate, built in the 2nd century is a must see during your time in the city. Other important sights in Antalya include the large fluted minaret of the Yivli Minare mosque, Atatürk’s House museum, Antalya museum and Murat Pasha mosque. Further afield, visitors can see the beautiful Düden waterfalls, while for great views of Antalya and the surrounding area, take a trip to Karaalioglu Park.
