Skiddaw Hotel - Our Stay

Very nice room however on the website the pictures showed slightly more updated rooms. We figured they may be in the process of modernising all the rooms and given we ordered late it’s our fault we got one of the rooms that haven’t been very modernised yet.
We were disappointed to be woken up a couple of mornings by the couple talking in the room next to us, we were unsure if this was a thin wall problem or a loud couple problem!
The view was quite mediocre given it was facing over the car park however this is a price to pay for such a central location I suppose.
The cooked breakfast was a little on the small side and presentation could have been a bit nicer, but it all tasted great. On the discussion of food, we had hot chocolate in our room on arrival but this was never restocked unfortunately.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and enjoyed the little touches like the robes in our wardrobe and we couldn’t have asked for a more central location
