Virgin has the room amenities down. The room was comfortable and well appointed. The gym is well equipped too. I expected to utilise the rooftop bar and 2nd floor library. My partner is handicapped, so I had planned on using hotel spaces for entertainment. Both were rented out the entire weekend. The lobby was chaos with all the revellers jockeying for elevator use. It was not pleasant. I complained to mgmt,. and their response was, “you should have been aware of our events”. Unacceptable. Lost me as a customer in Chicago. Lots to choose from downtown. Stay elsewhere. It’s not the workers. They were nice and gracious. Management needs training.

Nice property overall, great location, however service lacked attention and some other things were frustrating . I’ve been waiting for over 2h for bath towels, TV does not work, water pressure in the shower is terrible.

This is my second time staying at the Virgin hotel in Chicago. It’s conveniently located near so many attractions, great restaurants, and the train. The rooms are great and the rain head shower is amazing!

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel due to location to Verona, good value and good breakfast. We used the swimming pool several times too and enjoyed our stay.

Very impressed with the layout of the room, everything we needed was included. Service was courteous and attentive but not over bearing. Location was ideal for the loop, magnificent mile and transit. They offered variations of atmospheric vibes to fit any individual.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, easy check in. Suite was very spacious but "river view" may be stretching it a bit. Handily located for river cruises and other locations and easily accessible by the Metro.

We travel often and this was the most comfortable bed yet! Although there is no pool or hot tub, the added touches to the room were appreciated. They had robes, yoga mat, room darkening blinds and curtains, shampoo, conditioner, soap in room and ear plugs. The train was right below us but we didn’t hear a thing from the 18th out of 26 floors. We had room service for dinner. Prices were good and they were so fast! Top floor has a rooftop bar and it was so relaxing. There was a free happy hour there if you signed up for the free Virgin Hotels app. We had coffee and a muffin at their coffee shop in the a.m. Parking was right around the corner from the hotel (maybe 300 feet away or less). It was originally $60 for parking but, if you ask the front desk, they put a barcode on your parking pass and 24 hours is only $30. The Chicago Theater was 1 block away. On the hotels 2nd floor was a huge quiet bar-lounge area. There is yet another restaurant called Miss Ricky’s right as you walk into the hotel. We didn’t go there but, it also has a great variety of food options and a happy hour as well. In the room, temperature, room service, check out and viewing your bill were controlled by using your tv remote. If you didn’t want to get out of bed for anything, you sure didn’t have to. They had a fridge, alcohol and snacks in room for purchase as well. We WILL be back.

Excellent stay, comfortable room and beds, spacious. Tge bathroom though clean, had a disagreeable stain that should be treated. The issue with this hotel is that its particular location is seedy and Qseems unsafe. Once you become familiar the location is ok. Another issue is that they would do so much better with their lobby and their reception area, this does bot speak well of the hotel and dis merits it. However having been there for several days the great room makes up for the other deficiencies and the location is improved after a walk of a block and a half.

Terrible customer service. When I arrived not a single employee available to help with bags. Day one of my stay the room floods which was super inconvenient, but yet they still charged me for the stay. Terrible service, manager was not very helpful would not recommend.

Beautiful hotel. Kind of hip & good location near: parks, dining & museums. Very comfortable bed, love the shower & plenty of elevators so the wait is never long. Professional & friendly staff, but one quibble; i was placed in a room (23rd floor) that was directly under the dj booth for their rooftop bar. Fridays & Saturdays the EDM pulse goes till 2 a.m. and the sound & vibration is "significant" meaning without earplugs, sleep was impossible. They happily moved me the next day, but i can't help but wonder if this happens every weekend. I would definitely return with the caveat of not staying on floor #23.
