Great experience
Firstly all staff were very kind and helpful. The room and bed was clean and very comfort. Most disappointed point was that there was no free parking option. There were some options for parking which are very close to hotel but they were too expensive.

I asked for a late check out and was told we could stay till noon. But from 11 to noon we had five people knock on our door every 10 minutes.

Very nice hotel, check in was easy, lots of help and support in terms of things to do and places to eat. Hotel room was very nice, everything you needed was in the room. I think for the price, they should include complimentary water. The fridge only had 1 small bottle that was very expensive as with any mini bar. Coffee machine and facilities brilliant. Bed super comfy, room was spotless.

Vergane glorie. Hotel is conveniently located but parking options are very expensive. Hotel is nowhere close to the 5* it once was. Rooms and hallways need an update. Drink order at the Wave patio took an eternity to fulfill as waiter had forgotten the order - a personnel problem. Nice Spa facilities.

Don’t drive to this hotel. They have no place to park. Valet was full we had to find our own parking. The hotel is nice well located but the staff are slow and not helpful. The door key stops working at 11am. Got to our room to pick up last bag at 11:01am couldn’t get in.

It is the grand old dame of the other reviews. The view was splendid. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony and feeling the breeze. Fresh bathrobes every day was a nice touch. It was the perfect location next to the tram, ocean and pier.

Great opportunity to stay in a classic grand hotel. Sea view was worth the upgrade which was very reasonably priced. Calls for service were generally quick, although not always resolved. Inoperable hallway light and fridge that wouldn’t keep drinks cold were not addressed during our 4 day stay.

Great access to the ocean and lots of dining options. Beautiful view. Disappointed that the spa and pool closed at 8pm. Also shocked how much the surrounding area has been built up since last time I was there.

Super service. We waren om 7.15 uur al in het hotel omdat den haag vanwege demonstraties helemaal vast zou komen te staan. Onze kamer was al klaar en we mochten er al gelijk gebruik van maken. Dat was heel fijn! En heel hond vriendelijk!

Vergane glorie - Kurhaus is niet meer de moeite waard. Het gebouw is prachtig, mooi om binnen te kijken. De medewerkers zijn onaardig en niet attent. Tassen konden niet naar de kamer gebracht worden toen kamer nog niet klaar was, dienden we zelf op te halen in een achteraf kamertje. Kamer was schoon, mooi uitzicht op het strand. Wel enorm gehorig, in de ochtend wakker geworden van de wekker van de buren. Mensen die door de gang liepen klinken alsof ze naast ons bed stonden. Horeca is schandalig slecht. Jonge gasten die graag willen maar alle vorm van aansturing missen. Ontbijt was een drama; ontbijtzaal een bende, volle tafels met smerig bestek en borden. Enorm gehorige ruimte met weinig service. Al met al niet het gevoel gehad echt een nachtje weg te zijn, geen gevoel van service gehad door staff van hotel. Helaas, want het gebouw en de ligging zijn nog steeds prachtig.

Rooms are outdated. Hotel charged us 40 EUR per night for a kids bed - what a joke. No upfront info on Saturday party which made sleeping until 2am impossible. Wi-Fi has been a disaster. Staff tried their best, spa is very nice but overall not worth the money. As the Dutch people say: vergangene glory .. sorry but I expect more from a grand hotel.

The property itself is beautiful! We booked a room with a view of the water and got a room on the front corner, which meant we could look back out of one of the windows to see the water. It is hard to tell how the restaurant staff in the hotel was as we sat down at a table and for 20min no one came to it. However, they made eye contact several times. The restaurants in the area that we went to over the 4 days were great! I also mistakenly left a dress hung up in the closet which I realize is my own fault. When I called for it later the day that we left, they said that I had to put it on the ilost website to get it back. I posted it and the dress was never found. I returned to the hotel a few days later to see if they had it and they said they couldn’t find it. Make sure you pack all your things or the cleaning staff may be taking it home with them.

Horrible service. Beautiful grounds but needs major remodeling. Staff was horrible no accommodations of any kind. Felt like we were on another plant.

Lovely hotel with history Breakfast was good Staff were very helpful Pool could do with cleaning more frequently Rooms are quite tired TV was very small for a large room. Expedia said there would be a 72’ screen

It was such a pleasant visit. We paid extra for a balcony over looking the beach. Best decision! Every day we woke to the sound of the waves.
