Spacious apartment close to attractions

Posted 23-Jun-2017
Apartments are close to underground stations, restaurants and two small grocery stores. Apartment was big and convenient-- kitchen and washer/dryer. A slight concern was there was no air conditioning in the apartment and the weather was hotter than usual. However, the staff gave us fans and the staff was accommodating when we requested anything. I would definitely recommend staying there.

Wouldn't stay here again.

Absolutely terrible. I stayed for four nights and cumulatively I doubt I had 8 hours sleep. St Pauls chimes every 15 minutes throughout the night, including the long chimes to count out each hour. There has been no attempt to soundproof the windows (single glazed) so this is very loud and stopped me sleeping. Additionally the walls/ceilings are paper thin so every movement from the rooms adjacent is also audible. On top of this, builders were working directly outside my windows from very early each morning, making it even harder to sleep - especially as the curtains don't close properly, meaning that they can see in, and you can see them; very awkward for both parties.

Top place to stay in London

Wonderful stay. This is our second time staying here and it won't be the last. Very quiet, comfortable, great location, easy walk to the river, short walk to the tube station, walk to St Paul's Cathedral and London Museum. Highly recommended. (Would be nice to have some soft pillows though)

Stay here! Great spot for a family vacation stay!

Pros: See above
Cons: The unit got extremely HOT. No A/C. We opened windows & the staff brought fan for us - OK. Construction started on exterior last day of trip- noisy
Location: You can go anywhere via the tube! Really appreciated this. No end of nicer restaurants (or dine in!)
Travelled to London this past week x 8 days. Family of four - two teenage boys. Worried about London hotel room sizes & expense. Wondered whether/not to book two hotel rooms vs. something not in the heart of London vs. shelling out the extra cash. Happened upon King's Wardrobe online via Trivago/tripadvisor. Location looked great; size of 2 bedroom looked like a great option for us, and cost was QUITE competitive (vs. two rooms or comparable hotels). Did not disappoint! Location is great - we used the Blackfriars or St. Paul's tube - no problem; quick & easy! Area vibrant/bustling with business folks during the week; empty on the weekend. The pubs close at 11PM - so some noise from the street but nothing we didn't sleep through. The bells from St. Paul's are as expected, but we quickly adapted. Unit was spacious, clean and wasn't "rundown" as some others have posted - kids had their own bedroom & bathroom! No complaints on the beds - they had been newly upgraded. Kitchen with everything you'd need. Groceries within 5 min. walk. LOTS of great restaurants to choose from. There is a pub literally thirty steps from the unit - which you could see as a pro or a con...

Prime location

The apartment is spacious and has a large living room, which is not anticipated in London. The neighborhood is really good and surrounded by lots of restaurants, cafés and pubs. It's a few steps away from St Paul tube station.

Wonderful hidden gem

Posted 29-Dec-2016
Pros: We loved the historic location near to St Paul's Cathedral. Our apartment was beautifully furnished and provided for all our needs.
Location: The central location makes all the London tourist attractions within easy reach by tube or bus.
We stayed in The King's Wardrobe during the busy run up to Christmas. It was in the perfect location for us and provided a sanctuary from the crowded London streets. The staff were welcoming and eager to help.

great location, helpful staff

Posted 15-Dec-2016
Pros: location
Location: within easy walking distance of two different subway lines and a couple of main terminals. nice sights nearby .plenty to eat and drink.
helpful staff any thing requested was met fully and promptly, but i may add if i did not want to be bothered you were left alone. so i enjoyed the comfort and privacy. but if i asked for something an extra towel or directions i was immediately and fully accommodated.
