Nice hotel with convenient restaurant.

Posted 25-Aug-2015
We stayed at this hotel (myself, husband and two teenagers) for an overnight stay between days booked at a local adventure resor . It was convenient, easy to find, clean, very reasonably priced and the restaurant made meals very convenient without being expensive.

Nice hotel, clean, not great town

Posted 22-Aug-2015
Pros: size of room was excellent!
Location: We were touring Williams College so the location was convenient but the town of North Adams seemed very economically depressed.
Hotel was excellent, clean, modern, but the town seemed a little down on its luck and depressed. Only complaint for hotel is that there is nowhere under cover to pull car up to load and unload luggage. When we checked out, it was pouring and my husband had to stand out in the rain to load our suitcases into the back of the car.

Hotel offers Good Value

Posted 19-Aug-2015
Pros: Location close to the museums. Clean, professional staff. Good room rate.
Cons: Although very well maintained the public areas are beginning to look somewhat dated.
We were pleased with our stay and would recommend the HI to those visiting the nearby museums and other attractions. Our room was very well maintained and very clean. We were on the third floor but were not bothered by any street noise. We used the 20% meal discount for dinner and breakfast. My wife was disappointed in her dinner salad-it was not cold & crisp enough for her taste. I was very pleased with my dinner and breakfast. It was nice to be situated in town as we were able to walk about and work off some of those large portions.

Convenient hotel for visits to Williamstown

Posted 17-Aug-2015
Pros: Free wifi and parking
Location: The hotel is close to Williamstown for the theater, Williams College, dining, and museums. The scenery is beautiful. I drove on the Mohawk Trail.
Location was great for getting to the theater or the Clark Museum in Williamstown. It's straight down Route 2W and you're there within 15 minutes. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I slept great! It's very convenient having the on-site restaurant if you don't feel like going out, yet there were restaurants within walking distance. Staff was pleasant. I'd stay again.

Lifesaver

Posted 08-Jul-2015
Pros: Staff
Cons: Pool
Location: Main Street, near restaurants, movie theater, and major routes.
I live in Eastern MA and visit my grandmother in North Adams a few times per year. Regrettably, she enjoys keeping her house at 97 degrees all year round, so I regularly get ill whenever I spend a weekend there. Thank goodness for the Holiday Inn, as I've started spending the overnights in its rooms instead of the old guest bedroom. The staff are very polite and charming, and the facilities are overall quite accommodating. The hot tub and sauna rooms are a great plus, though the pool itself is a bit heavy on the chlorine. Solid recommendation.

One of the best hotels in the area

Posted 07-Jul-2015
Pros: The central location, convenient to Williamstown.
Cons: Bathroom door should swing out to make the small bathroom more useable.
Location: Williamstown attractions: college, The Clark Institute, summer theater.
Most of the hotels in the Berkshires are actually motels and most of them look dated. This is one of the more decent looking ones, it is conveniently located in downtown North Adams close to may of the attractions in the Berkshires. The room and beds were very spacious although the bathroom was a little bit small in contrast.
