Wonderful place!

Posted 22-Jul-2015
Pros: Parking, WIFI, convenient, very clean and well maintained, owner and staff are fantastic.
Cons: Nothing
Location: It is just outside the walls of Orvieto. You can walk or a short drive to any of the public parking areas and walk into the city.
The B&B was fantastic. We travel all over Italy and this is one our most favorite places to stay. The owner and staff are helpful, pleasant, and very accommodating. We had a great time and look forward to staying there again.

Hotel with the perfect host

Posted 20-Feb-2015 on Hotels
The owner was the perfect host. He picked us up at the train station and went out of his way to return us to the station very early in the morning. Food was varied and outstanding. Upon arrival he gave us a thorough orientation to Orvietto and then drove us to town. Most highly recommended.

Wonderful, comfortable find in Orvieto

Posted 07-Nov-2014 on Hotels
I was a bit concerned when I saw that this B&B only had 2 stars. It was the most comfortable stay that we had in Tuscany & Umbria. They deserve 4-5 stars. The B&B is only 4 years old in spite of looking like a very old building. The room is spotless and the bed is comfortable (tough to find in Italy). You are greeted with a drink and a snack and the host will drive you into Orvieto. It's only a 5 minute walk but it is straight uphill. The view from the room is a wonderful way to start your morning.

Best stay in Orvieto

Posted 06-Oct-2014 on Hotels
Can't say enough good things about this small B&B. Daniele is an extraordinary host, greeted us with cappucino, kindly drove us to the center of Orvieto, was there to answer our questions about restaurants and different sites around... Go there, you will not regret. The Duomo is not to be missed.

The best place we stayed in all of Italy!

Posted 20-Sep-2014 on Hotels
Daniele is the greatest! He picked us up from the train station and oriented us where to enter the town while we were in the car. He then offers you coffee or water and provides you with a high quality map and great info on the town. While the B&B is outside the walls of Orvieto which makes it less convenient than other places, the view from the charming terrace/garden area are stunning. When he found out we wanted to go to Civita he had great info on it for us. We ended up leaving early to go to Civita and since we didn't have breakfast, he gave us a discount which is unheard of in Italy!! We had gotten used to most other travel industry people there trying to take advantage of the tourists. He gave us a flashlight when he knew we would be out past dark, offered rides everywhere, and showed genuine interest in us and our comfort. Plus you can tell they spare no expense when it came to the construction of the B&B and the amenities. The accommodations were palatial compared to the rest of Italy and very high end. It killed me that we weren't staying longer. I would have booked my itinerary differently and actually "lounged" a little around the grounds and room if I had known. Plus Orvieto and Civita are so charming you should spend two nights here. My highest rating!
