Nice hotel, good location

Posted 26-Feb-2017
Staff were really helpful and attentive - nothing was too much trouble. We had one of the older rooms (the hotel is going through a refurbishment programme) but the room was more than adequate, clean and spacious. The main hotel areas were great and the pool was fantastic. Food in the hotel was great and the entertainment in the evening was of a good quality - overall a great holiday.

Good Location

Posted 20-Feb-2017
Pros: Location, staff, facilities
Cons: WIFI, a nice lounge bar
Location: A fairly quiet resort.
This was our first visit to Tenerife so we had a completely open mind. The area of Golf del Sur suited us as we do not like the large resorts such as Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas. The hotel was really nice and had good facilities. We did miss shaving a nice bar to have a drink in, and because of the size of the hotel it could use an alternative restaurant. The one thing that was very very annoying was the wifi - I know it's not on everyone's important list but we run a small business so need to be able to access certain information/cash flow etc, even when on holiday. The wifi was total rubbish we were unable to get a signal 99% of the time and the fact we were charged 6 euros per day for the 'privilige' did rub salt in the wounds! We were refunded for one day only which was disappointing. We also did not like the 'push' by staff for timeshare selling!

One of the best choices

Posted 17-Feb-2017
Pros: professional and friendly staff, very clean hotel, breathtaking views, supermercado on site, activities all day long, amazing terrace, big pool
Cons: Some spanish and international music by the pool and on the terrace would be nice, but the purpose of the resort is to be a quiet and relaxing oasis.
Location: half day/full day trip around the island, submarine safari, diving sessions, dolphins and pilot wales viewing, fishing, restaurants, pubs
We booked a studio but being in our honeymoon, we were offered a villa with an amazing view and a bottle of Cava which to be honest you rarely find nowadays. We were allowed to check in 1 hour earlier. How about that for a warm welcome? The villa was extremely clean(trust us, we are very picky), big and comfortable bed, kitchen with everything you need, air con in bedroom and living room, 2 ihome docking stations, 2 flat screen TVs, huge balcony with a view to die for especially at sunrise or sunset. Our room got cleaned on the second of third day in the morning which is by the book. We've read complaints about this aspect and it's not fair. When you book your room it says very clear room cleaning is limited(but though out per your stay). I am pretty sure you can have it daily but probably comes with a fee which is perfectly normal. The hotel has on site everything you need: big heated pool, spa, sauna, gym, bars, restaurant, terrace, all kind of activities, supermercado, activities for children, playroom, special shows on terrace and bar/pub (flamenco, tributes, mini disco for kids) and probably more as we did not have enough time to discover everything. Around the hotel you have restaurants, a couple of shops and San Miguel Marina. We had a great honeymoon. Can't wait to go back.

Nice hotel overlooking the Ocean

Posted 09-Feb-2017
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Clean spacious, well equipped rooms. Quiet, semi-secluded, large pool/sunbathing areas with good poolside bar/restaurant.
Cons: Although the hotel was quiet, some of the facilities were not open as advertised - e.g. 1am bar closed before midnight or didn't open at all
Location: Short walk to shops, bars, restaurants, and the marina. Golf courses a 5 min taxi ride away; 15 mins to the airport & Los Christianos/Las Americas
Very comfortable hotel in a great location with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Days spent by the pool, coastal walks or playing golf at the nearby courses; evenings visiting nearby towns of Los Abrigos (many seafood restaurants surround the small harbour), Los Christianos & Las Americas. Smell was certainly nothing major, was only noticeable occasionally and even then only outside the entrance and to one side of the hotel - not from within the hotel complex.

We're going back

Posted 09-Feb-2017
Pros: Clean, spacious, comfortable room. English TV if you want it, great staff
Cons: The signage around the hotel - it's on several levels and we ended up wandering round a bit finding our way too and from the pool.
Location: Lots of restaurants to choose from, not many shops to look in - we didn't venture far but had everything we needed. Might be crowded in high season.
I went as a party of 3 aged 50-73, and we stayed in a spacious 1 bed roomed apartment. It was spotless, had a very well equipped kitchen and bathroom and the comfiest bed I've slept in in a hotel for ages. The bedding was exceptional and the 3 pillows I had actually had stuffing in them. The room was cleaned twice whilst we were there and the towels and bedding changed. From the moment we arrived the staff we helpful, courteous and smiled! The restaurant and pool bar served good value excellent tasting meals, the pool area itself is lovely, with plenty of sunbeds available, and a sunbed policy meaning you can't blag the best spot then not use it all day! We enjoyed the evening entertainment in the outside bar with a saxophonist and guitarist/singer as we had our nightcap sat by a heater (well it is February).Do I sound surprised? Well we bought a budget holiday and my expectations were far exceeded by this hotel. If I'm being picky the view from our expansive terrace wasn't all that, it was a blue painted roof, but we were on the ground floor and , as I say, we hadn't exactly spent a fortune. The resort itself is quite small and quiet compared to Los Christianos and Playa De Las Ameticas which we visited travelling on local, efficient and cheap, local transport. So in summary it was perfect for a short winter break and we've already booked to go back. Oh and someone mentioned the ca ca corner smell, we didn't notice.

Very excellent place for a holiday.

Posted 18-Jan-2017
We have been to this hotel for first time. But we will definitely come back to this hotel again. Staff was very pleasant and help full. The part which I liked most was the live music performance on the ocean breeze terrace every night. If someone if planning to visit tenerife I will recommend this hotel to them.

Nice hotel wrong location

Posted 08-Jan-2017
The apartment was lovely the smell from the sewage plant was quite strong on arrival seemed to subside after a while. The surrounding uncompleted buildings near the hotel spoil the feel of the resort. If staying to access airport then ideal with cheap local bus direct departure. Staff were freindly but the need to put a 100 euro deposit down may be off putting. As with young children the loud music till 23:00hrs wasn't ideal.
