Nice hotel but part of 'time share' system

Posted 25-Oct-2016
Pros: Good location and close to nearby restaurants. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The concierge staff could consider inviting people to join them for breakfast rather than lunch to tell people about their holiday scheme.
Location: Quitet location but nearby some restaurants and shops. Easy reach to Los Christianos by bus or taxi
The good -Room was clean and the bed was comfortable considering it was a foldable bed as we had a studio room -Very friendly and helpful staff at reception -Breakfast by the pool was good but a little more costly than outside -Good shows in the evening -Car hire was easy to book as were excursions which were competitively priced -Self-catering facilities in the room were good -Good and quiet in-room air conditioning The less good -Hotel is a bit dated -Balcony wall in our room was high so we could not see the sea when sitting down at the table and chairs -From the Expedia Booking it was not obvious to us that this hotel was part of a 'time-share' system where you are encouraged to pay a fee to sign up and they use the worldwide system which they claim is 4* or above. The staff at the conciege offered us a free bottle of wine on the first day and were very keen for us to attend a free lunch and receive vouchers (towards our excursions) for us to learn about the Diamond Hotels and Resorts. We did not want to lose time as we were only staying for 8 days and we either hiking or sightseeing so we declined but they were quite persistent and only gave up after 3 days. After this, the concierge staff were not very friendly. However, in fairness, for the two couples we met who had paid to join the diamond holiday scheme, they spoke highly of it. All said they were encouraged to upgrade on subsequent visits and seemed happy to do so.

Fantastic hotel in a beautiful setting

Posted 24-Oct-2016
Location: Stunning setting with the Teide National Park only an hours drive away. Plenty on offer for golf enthusiasts as well as numerous nearby restaurants
It was quite striking that my daughters (8 and 6) thought this hotel was too posh for us (not sure what that says about me!) But what it does say is that this is an exceptional hotel with outstanding facilities, set in a beautiful part of the world. The swimming facilities were ideal for helping build the confidence of my two daughters in the water, whilst providing sufficient capacity for more serious swimmers. The food options available were plentiful and very reasonably priced. We didn't get the opportunity to experience all that the hotel has to offer which goes to show the breadth of services available.

Hier stinkt es gewaltig

Posted 20-Oct-2016
Da die Anlage direkt neben einer Kläranlage liegt, zieht in Teilbereichen ein penetranter Kloakenduft durch das Gemäuer. Ansonsten eine schöne und gepflegte Anlage mit schöner Lage

Best holiday ever!!

Posted 16-Oct-2016
Don't worry about what others say about the smell. It's not a big enough issue to miss out on this fabulous hotel. It's breathtakingly beautiful and the staff are lovely, most speaking v good English. You only catch the very occasional whiff of the smell, barely ever in fact.

Very nice hotel

Very nice hotel, close to local amenities, quiet and away from the noise and mess of Los Cristianos and Los America's. Local shops and restaurants excellent.

Excellent Hotel should be 5*

Posted 29-Sep-2016
Pros: Everything. Can't fault anything
Cons: the star rating to 5*
Location: The location is excellent for walks. The beach is right next to the Hotel. Local restaurants and bars. Bus stop and taxi rank outside.
Excellent welcome, very helpful staff very polite and friendly. Extremely clean and good quality Hotel. Restaurant was excellent, waiters were very professional and friendly. Food was amazing every time we had dinner the flavours were outstanding. The room was fully equipped and we were provided with fresh towels and clean and fresh bedding on arrival, our bed was changed twice on a 7 night stay. Air conditioning was fully appreciated and the ceiling fans. Balcony was a bonus. Home from home. The Hotel should be a 5* In my opinion it is the best Hotel there. Location is excellent right next to the beach and local restaurants. The bus stop is just outside the Hotel and a taxi rank also. Definitely recommend and would return.

Amazing Experience

Posted 20-Sep-2016
Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly, most especially the activities team, as it never runs out of games & activities to do during the day. It has its own supermarket, restaurant and bar, and also restaurants nearby. Near the seaside, just at the back of the hotel so you can go for a walk. Big swimming pool & whirlpool. Only negative things are the 1.smell of sewage outside the room, 2.fee to rent swimming pool towels, 3.rooms are not cleaned daily. Overall, best hotel experience, will definitely recommend 100%.
