Amazing staff and hotel

Posted 25-Jun-2016
Pros: The food is fabulous.
Cons: Our bath was damaged. There was a split right down the middle, god only knows where the water was going.
Location: Location right on the beach, close to bars and restaurants and the designer shopping mall, Plaza del Duque.
When we arrived we were told we were being placed in a priority location room, fantastic news upon our arrival as we sipped our complimentary cava. However when we got to room Aida 510 we were disappointed to find the room had not been renovated (one website said all rooms had been renovated in May but the hotel said they were just painting them). But the view we had was a building site overlooking the Grand Salomi suites which was next door and completely closed for renovations. The noise from the drilling was just awful. We requested a room change because of the noise and where moved to Aida 325 which overlooked the small pool and was far more peaceful. The hotel is huge but spotlessly clean. We only found the large pool by fully exploring the grounds. Both pools are heated. The small pool was 27 degrees and the larger salt water pool was 25 degrees. We had great weather all week, the hotel literature said 23 degrees but it felt more like 27 degrees. Wifi is available free throughout the entire complex which worked really well. The best thing about the hotel was the food. It was the best I've had anywhere! The speciality dishes each night were amazing. We didn't bother going to the two specialty restaurants on site because we didn't feel that the hotel food could be bettered. The location is great, right on the beach with good bars and shops in each direction. The Plaza Del Duque shopping mall was high class, designer shopping. Yarenmi from Cuba waited on our tab

Fabulous for kids

Posted 16-Jun-2016
A great place to take your kids on holiday. The kids club is wonderful, offering a baby pool and another pool with slides and a pirate ship. The activities are fun and interesting and the team is AMAZING. The best thing is that the kids club is within the same enclosure as the two pools I mentioned, with sun loungers and parasols - so parents can stay with their kids and lounge, if they don't want to leave them there. I love the security of that and my daughter was delighted that we were nearby and could share the experience with her. Mini disco every night followed by a medal ceremony for the winners of the medal games played each day....and also an exciting appearance from Stella or Starkey, the hotel mascots, which all the kids love!!

Just Nice

Posted 08-May-2016
Pros: Location is good, beach is good
Cons: Meal times and choice
Location: Don't go to aqua land, or jungle kingdom , instead travel to loro parque zoo and Siam park water park, these two are awesome.
Not gonna blow your socks off, but it was a good hotel with decent staff, maybe should have dinner for families earlier than 7pm, plenty of entertainment for all ages, great pools, restaurants and excursions, anything and everything was catered for. They didn't have a selection of whiskies which was rather disappointing, or brandies! Not that I was going to have to them, but it would've been good to have the choice, most staff where very friendly, some didn't understand English,

Traditional Spanish hotel with old school charm

Posted 22-Apr-2016
Great location by Fanabe Beach, a large and very traditional hotel which exuded old school charm. Hotel had a relaxing atmosphere, not at all noisy despite it being a large. Lovely breakfasts with great choice catering for all nationalities by the look of it. made me feel very relaxed. Rooms a bit dated, bed not that comfy and only one plug point but on a plus point room is large with a good size terrace. Swimming pool areas are lovely and pools warm. Nice touch were the little daily free treats around the pool...ice cream, fruit, chocolates and the games. A friend has already booked a trip after looking at my pics. As a single traveller, I will return if the price is right.

Great Family Resort

Posted 18-Apr-2016 on Hotels
Anthelia is an excellent resort for a top quality family holiday in Tenerife. The hotel is has excellent facilities, heated pools, amazing kids club (mine are 10,8 and 2) and very entertaining shows each evening. It is easy to get a taxi to all the outside entertainment parks and attractions on the island (Siam Park etc..), and is only a very short walk to the lovely beach of El Douque and the good restaurants around that beach. We choose B&B rather than half board and was glad to do so. There are so many restaurants to explore near the hotel, however the hotel evening buffet is also superb and worth going to a few nights (if a little pricey). The resort is certainly 4.5 Star (as are the clientele) - could get to 5* with better pillows, in room tea/coffee making and bigger fridge. Certainly the staff are 5* - would go again.

5-Stern-Hotel in gutem Zustand, nicht topmodern

alteingesessenes Hotel der Topklasse, in bester Lage. leider minimaler Fitnessbereich, viel zu klein für ein Hotel dieser Grösse und Klasse
