This hotel was an excellent stay. The rooms were incredibly clean, staff was very friendly the food was nice it was a great hotel for our stay really pleased with this experience.

Just returned from 4 night stay here upon arrival then made to additional room fees not mentioned in original booking. Food repetitive like school canteen. Staff slow to serve in the bars, reception and restaurant. This was ment to be a relaxing first time break in Tenerife nothing more than a nightmare. Don't stay here look elsewhere

Nice surprise find
Could not fault the stay we had here. Food was excellent. Cleaning was fist class. Staff were attentive. The pool bar was very good. Would stay again.

Great vacation! I recommend this hotel. Food was great, you can find anything you like, lot of vegetables, different kind of meat, seafood, pasta, cakes, ice cream. We were enjoying also bar, refreshing sangria, mojito, beer was good(we are from a beer country). There might be queues on bar, but we have never waited more than couple minutes. When the hotel is full you wait longer on your drinks in restaurant too, but we are not blaming staff, they were working really hard. Just across the street from nice beach.

Excellent location near the beach (although rooms facing the main street are suffering from the surrounding noise). Good quality of facilities and amenities. Good food, and excellent staff (reception, animation, restaurant)

Was amazed you have to pay to use the safe in the room. Pool Towels are available but you have to pay each time you changed them. Had to argue with reception to change room after the room we was given DID NOT have a pool view, when we had booked and payed for a room with a pool view.

The lady in reception on 04/02/2022 around 7-8pm was nice,freandly and help me with my request,the man same day/time wasnt nice. Cleaners was good too. The restaurant cheff was very,very rood. One time he cooked chicken breast to my child abd chicken was row.i ask him can he cooked more and he wasnt happy.Next time pancakes was black over coocked my husband took them and live it on another side and took normal pancakes and kichen chef told my husband “is not normal to to that” thats mean im paying monney for the food and we have to eat what he give us????? Every morming same good.

Comfortable bed, clean room, nice terrace by the room. A little noisy until 11pm/midnight, as we were by the bar. Great pool, jacuzzi, and view of the sea. Peaceful terrace with plenty of beds (in January). Breakfast was excellent, and dinner was lovely but not quite as good as the breakfast in terms of quality. Great value for money overall for half board. Friendly and helpful staff. Gym weights equipment fairly good but not maintained well, and cardio old and broken. We were not notified that the indoor pool and spa would be closed when booking (for maintenance), which was very disappointing as it was the reason we chose between two hotels. This was the only downside. The hotel need to update their description, as we were worried about the note saying we needed a PCR, despite this not matching the Canary Islands guidance. We didn't see this until we were boarding and checking the app for directions, and had a very panicked flight.

Just returned from a weeks stay in Tenerife at Hotel Gala. The hotel was clean and our Club Alexandre room was well equipped. We were staying on an all inclusive rate and the food in the hotel was enjoyable. I prefer to eat fresh salads and Spanish style dishes and there was always a good selection of meat and seafood dishes to my and my wife's taste on offer. Drinks are only served by staff members, upon presentation of your room key, so bar service could be slow at times, but this never impacted massively upon our holiday. The pool and sunlounger deck was clean and tidy. Not a huge amount of sunbeds but this may be a covid/social distancing related issue. Really enjoyed our holiday and would likely return to this hotel in future.

Good hotel with nice pool
Enjoyed our stay here, room we got was renovated and comfortable. Hotel food was basic so we usually ate outside. The hotel doesn’t offer irons either, so make sure to iron your clothes before or you’ll be stuck paying ridiculous prices per item of clothing to be ironed.

My stay was a bit frustrating. The parking in the hotel is very small, and they sold me a parking ticket for a day, but when I went to park there were no spots available. I had to circle the parking lot multiple times in search for a spot, only to end up back on the street to find parking. In terms of the hotel, it's okay for the price I suppose, but for me this was not a 4 star hotel.

Nowhere near as good as last year
Stayed here last year and really enjoyed it. Food was quiet good last year. Food this was awful. Cleaners are great. Restaurant staff all as miserable as sin. Our room was one of the older rooms at road level. We had drug dealers and prostitutes do deals outside our window. Will not be staying here next year. Upside pool area is fine.

A very good hotel. We had one bad experience, just at check-in where the person was very unfriendly and unwelcoming. Apart from that we had a very enjoyable experience at the hotel. The staff were generally very friendly and helpful, the food was good and the pool and spa areas were excellent.

Mediocre at best.
Let's get the bad thing out of the way. If you want to sleep before midnight and loud music annoys you then forget about sleeping early since there is a concert in the lobby every evening from 20:00 - 23:59 and the hotel room shakes meanwhile. You need to pay for everything extra like the safe, coffee for your room and even for them to open the fridge. The reception staff that were +50 years old are not nice but the younger one were really nice. Breakfast was okay but lunch/dinner was fantastic. Really nice spa and gym but the pool in the spa had too much chlorine. I had a massage that was fantastic. The outdoor pool was nice and the pool area also. The location in really good with a lot of stores and restaurants nearby. The beds in the room was just the right stiffness for me but the legs were lose so when I turned in the bed I almost got seasick. Overall I was just above satisfied but I would not stay there again and can't recommend this hotel.

It's almost worth going just to see how bad this place is....from the decaying jungle hanging in the atrium..the surly staff to without doubt the worst food I have ever seen served in a hotel anywhere....avoid this place like the plague !

Enjoyable stay , good varied food. Some updating was being carried on e.g. Painting but didn't intrude.Irish Pub nearby, was St Patrick's Day whilst we were there. Avoid rooms 600- 630 as these face the nightlife. Could be really noisy in Hi-season.

This is the second time we have stayed at Hotel Gala. The food is excellent and always has a wide range and variety. The hotel is near the beach and has a variety of entertainment nearby. The hotel is clean and tidy with unusal vegetation as decoration ! The hotel entertainment is ok. The rooms are clean and sufficient but the mattresses could be improved. We shall definitely book again.

GALA HOTEL Los Americas
Stayed at the Gala many times always got good service from very friendly staff. Not so many English people so the food has more Italian German and of course Spanish kind of flavours. Rooms are good bathrooms all work plenty of hot water clean towels every day all standard stuff the location suits us near Veronicas ( never been in though ) 70 years old no rock & roll there.

1. grand hotel but was surprise there was no air con in the reception area and dinner. 2. hotel situated in a very convenience location, lots of restaurants and shops nearby and beach is within minutes of walking. 3.good entertainments in the evening for adults and kids. 4. hotel is not very far from the airport.

Great Hotel
We (2 couples late 50's) stayed for 10 days at the Gala Hotel in Jan 2014. It was one of the best holidays we have had in the Canaries. Don't be mislaid by our advanced years we like to go out at night and relax during the day. The hotel is ideally situated for night life and close to the beach. The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff couldn't be more helpful. When we first arrived we were given rooms at the back of the hotel which were quieter. When we said we would prefer rooms overlooking the street we were moved as soon as rooms were available which was only 2 days later. We were given the keys to the new rooms in advance to ensure we were happy then we moved. As I said the reception staff were excellent and it didn't matter who we spoke to they were all aware of what was happening. The hotel was spotless and the amenities were great. Always beds and matresses available by the pool and when it came to settling the bill for extras it was dead accurate. We would be happy to recommend the hotel to anyone and have done to some of our friends. The whole experience of booking with Expedia was great and we will be doing it again.

Dangerous outside hotel of a night
Hotel is great. staff great. Food great. There are 2 pools one is slightly heated and the other must be refrigerated. It was so cold in there nobody used it so pointless really. Food was great. Unfortunately the hotel is directly opposite Linekers in what I would describe as downtown playa. Of a night time you would be safer walking in Syria. During my stay (and these are the ones i know about) there were 2 stabbings outside the hotel. On New Years Day there was a trail of blood on the footway no doubt following another brawl. One of the other guests was outside Linekers and had his jaw broken in 3 places following an attack. I was offered illegal drugs directly on at least 50 occasionsand offered it indirectly a further 50 times "what do you want, what are you looking for". On the first night outside the hotel I was grabbed a call girl offering me services for 20 euros but reputation is that they pick pocket you at the same time. I declined her services. There was a male in the hotel reception on new years day who took refuge from a number of prostitutes before walking home. If you dont want to go into a swimming pool, dont want to go out night time then fine otherwise for goodness sake stay here at your peril.

Good centrally located hotel
The staff immediately recognised me from a previous visit and the service was excellent throughout. When I asked for a room with a better view on arrival, my request was immediately accommodated. The air conditioning in my room was struggling to keep the room cool, even when left on continuously, although a second key to enable this was provided automatically, and the fuse on the a/c tripped a number of times. A good selection of food was available in the buffet restaurant - although greater variety between nights would have been good - and the wine and other extras were reasonably priced. Overall, a good location, with direct access to the beach, and good value for money.
