"This was our 4th stay at Paradisus since 2014, but definitely our most special. My husband and I were married here in 2016, so we returned with our children, ages 18, 8 and 7, to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. The food was fantastic. Make reservations early, but don’t overlook the buffet! We tried it near the end of our trip and regretted waiting. Short rib, shrimp, vegetables and so much variety. Highly recommend the family photo shoot. Our photographer was incredible! We loved the photos so much we bought all 91, plus a photo book and canvas for $490. Worth every penny. Our adjoining double suite was perfect with kids. The grounds and pools were beautiful and constantly maintained, and the nightly entertainment was surprisingly AMAZING. The neon light show was our favorite! The staff truly made our stay. Our concierge, Ignacio, was wonderful. He surprised our kids with plush animals and us with an anniversary dessert at dinner! Most importantly, our youngest developed a fever our first day. A doctor came to our room within 20 minutes, examined her, had the medication she needed on hand and followed up afterward. She was back to herself within a day, and the entire visit was only $140. We were so grateful. Paradisus holds so many memories for our family. We will absolutely be back! Love, The Soundias Family"

"Great stay in PDC. I absolutely love the hospitality and would visit again. The food was nothing to write home about, but it did the job for resort food. If I ever come back to Playa Del Carmen, I would still stay at this property given it's proximity to the nightlife, which I did not get a chance to enjoy because I really wanted to relax and just let myself enjoy the property. I would say the highlight of this property is the staff and the service and it's so good that it's worth a repeat visit."

"I like to be honest with these reviews the only complaint I had was I had to scan the menu for dinner. But even then that is a stretch of a complaint. I felt the resort was calm and comfortable, yet had a nice getaway atmosphere. My husband and I rented a car but they have shuttles to take you places. I read that the noise from the roof and the street was loud at night but I felt it wasn’t bad. I’m a light sleeper and I was just fine. Take advantage of being so close to 5th ave. And there is a nice seafood restaurant down the block if you want to eat away from Reef 28. Oscar is so sweet and willing to help, in fact all the staff is ready to help. Access to the beach is right down the street a 5 minute walk."

"Everything as is pictured. The apartment is located a block away from Quinta Avenida and across from two public beach access, Mamita’s beach and 38 beach. The building is new and modern with a tulum:boho esthetic. The unity was as pictured and had strong and cold a/c and a functional bathroom with no weird smells. Our unit was a studio so it did not have a formal dining area. We did not have a view and our balcony did not have any furniture. Our view was another condo building. Also, the a/c chillers were on that side and that was the noise we heard when opening the balcony door all day and night unfortunately. However, it was tolerable and did not cause any disruption for sleep. It was annoying to not be able to hear the hustle and bustle of the city but we were mostly out when we were there. The building is surrounded by other very nice condominiums and there is an outdoor shop in the same block as the building that includes a grocery store Chaudri and other businesses such as a Mexican Resteraunt (which is very authentic and delicious) a matcha cafe and other businesses. There are also other grocery stores within 4 to 6 blocks like Soriana and Walmart. This apartment was centrally located. Thx building is also across a stadium where there are soccer tournaments and daily exercising. There is a cafe in there and other work outdoor workout equipment. Our stay was for 17 days and we felt safe walking anytime of the day. There is a lot pedestrian traffic in the area."
