Right on the Edge of Telluride

Posted 04-Nov-2017
Pros: Staff
Cons: update and upgrade the furniture...
Location: on the edge of town, so quiet, but need to walk to find the action...
There is only 'one road' into Telluride, and the Hotel T is the first on your left, just past the High School. Right across from a fine supermarket, Clark's. Nice place, but interestingly, in a Western Tradition, is stocked with 50 year old furniture. Comfortable Bed, nice (and up to date) Bathroom. Good parking (but not free!) underground ...and parking is a big deal in small town Telluride. Best part was the welcoming lobby with free coffee, and a VERY FRIENDLY and Knowledgeable staff, who, for most part are genuine locals who know Telluride up and down. The heart of town is about 6 blocks, up a slight hill, further into the Town, and folks who've just flown in from Sea Level, and are now at 8800ft, might find that seemingly short walk a bit of a trek, and arrive in mid-town quite out of breath.

Great Western Theme Hotel

Posted 15-Oct-2017
Pros: Western Theme and location.
Location: Downtown Telluride. Backroading with 4x4 and Mountain Vista sightseeing.
Upgraded to a deluxe room on the third floor with a spectacular view of the mountains. Lobby was wonderful to return to everyday with Western Decor and Fireplace. Ate dinner both nights at the Hotel Bistro which had great food.

Beautiful Hotel

Posted 13-Oct-2017
We experienced a glorious drive into the area. The hotel more than met our expectations. Our room was quite large, very well equipped and also had a deck. The restaurant was small but served delicious food...and the ice cream (3 different scoops) was "the best"! The staff was friendly and very accommodating. A complimentary shuttle was available. We made a special trip to Telluride for one night to be in this scenic ski area and we were very happy with our decision. We would stay at the Hotel Telluride again.

Nice hotel within walking distance to downtown

Posted 03-Oct-2017
Pros: Attentive staff, nice lobby area and good breakfast
Room was very nice. Bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would return to hotel. We were able to walk to car show on main street and to all restaurants. They also offered a complimentary shutter anywhere around the area.

Good for a Vacation HQ

Posted 26-Sep-2017
Pros: Comfortable, staff is very accommodating, full breakfast buffet with our room,
Cons: Parking is literally scarce and tight.
Location: We were there for four days in fall, 2 rain, and 2 sun meant some hiking (magnificent trails everywhere) downtown shopping, food, and drink.
Hotel is newer, plenty of amenities we did not use (Hot tub, exercise room), walkable to downtown AND has a free local shuttle. Arrived on a Thursday, happened to be a car show in town, some attendees were staying at the hotel, so it was fairly busy. Restaurant/ bar staff seemed stressed by the busy weekend, the rest of the place ran smoothly. Cozy lobby was a good place for afternoon board game on a rainy day.
