Sweet spot in the middle of Beautiful Telluride

Posted 27-Sep-2016
Over all the stay was enjoyable. The staff was excellent, very kind and accommodating. My only complaint would be that the bed I slept in wasn't the most comfortable, but nothing compares to the comforts of home I guess. Very pleased, I would stay here again.

The only Victorian thing is the bed headboard

Posted 25-Sep-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Really everything.
Location: Telluride is a lovely town.
Disappointing in every way. Shall I start with the gop that was sort of like oatmeal for breakfast? Or that there aren't even enough places to sit at breakfast? Or the "ground floor room" that was nearly underground? Or the lack of amenities? Or that the Receptionist couldn't find a parking permit for us to park on the street? Or maybe that their onsite parking is big enough for about 25% of their guests? The night before we had stayed at a Baymont Inn. Far, far better! This is a 1990's Holiday Inn Express with a couple of cutsie pseudo Victorian trappings. Choose another hotel!!

Many many stairs. Heat not working. Noisy.

Posted 22-Sep-2016
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Decor, heat,
Location: Very close to shops and gondola.
For the price, this is very disappointing, but then again everything in Telluride is highly overpriced since you're a captive audience.

old hotel close to everything in town

Posted 20-Sep-2016
Pros: close to town
Cons: better parking
Location: quick walk to gondola and all the shops downtown
This hotel is close to everything in town but the parking is not good. We had to park on the street and have our car moved by 10am. Bathroom was very small and we could not get the air to work so was hot in the room. Noisy but they did provide ear plugs in the room. Breakfast was ok.

Convenient hotel

Posted 19-Sep-2016
Pros: Friendly staff, clean room, excellent breakfast
Cons: Poor mattress, noisy neighbors
Location: everything downtown convenient. Plenty to see and do in Telluride. Outstanding scenery, food, stores to visit, people to meet, and of course..ski!!!
Walking distance to downtown Telluride and the ski are lower lift. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast (home made rolls and muffins!). Room adequate size with queen bed that slept like mattress needed replacing. Paper thin walls so we heard neighboring sounds, including TV, till 1:30 AM. Advise that tv's should be turned off by at least midnight so guests can sleep!

Great location!

Posted 19-Sep-2016
Pros: Very clean, nice room.
Cons: The only comment we have is the small bathroom and noisy water pipes in the wall, but these were not enough to keep us from staying there again.
Location: Great location. Close to the gondola and Main Street.
The staff was great. The hotel is quaint and clean.

Very clean, helpful staff, close to downtown

Spent 2 nights. Room was small, but clean. Breakfast was wonderful though I would recommend more gluten free options. Pam, the owner was exceptionally friendly and recommended restaurants and nearby hiking trails.
