Pros: Proximity to Telluride Ski Area. Excellent continental breakfast.
Cons: Better signage on main road. We drove past in the dark as we went down the canyon.
Location: Close to ski area and Town of Telluride, Co. Good access to hiking and biking and fishing.
This is a newer facility with nice rooms, a restaurant and bar. Friendly atmosphere.

Nice, convenient place near Telluride

Posted 07-Feb-2017
We were visiting my brother in law and his family in Telluride and needed a place to stay. Their place was too small to accommodate us. We attempted (unsuccessfully) to book a couple places via airbnb, and after checking the prices on every other hotel, we decided on the Angler Inn, even though it was out of town. I was pleasantly surprised. It was a very nice place. The drive to Telluride was not bad at all and totally worth not having to find a place to park overnight in town. I will probably be staying here from now on, since it was so easy.

The place is very comfortable, upscale, very nice staff, excellent breakfast spread. It's 25 minutes from Telluride. Telluride happened to be buried in snow and we had difficulty parking there.

Disappointing.

Posted 18-Jan-2017
The front desk has limited hours, which was inconvienent for us. The room itself was run down, cracks in the walls, bed moved and made a lot of noice getting into. No coffee pots in the room, there was an ice bucket but I have no idea where the ice machine was. The breakfast consisted of water down coffee, no fresh fruit, bread and waffles. Their restaurant was overpriced for their greasy food. Service was terrible, employees spent more time watching the television and pouring themselves beverages than with the customer. We ordered a lava cake for dessert and it was dry, $10 for a small dessert. Go up to telluride, food is less expensive and more delicious. I was disappointed in our experience, I wish I had booked a place in telluride or mountain view.

Good value spot for Telluride

For the price of ski area hotels, this place was a good deal. There's nothing else around, but you're only 15 minutes from the lifts. Walls are pretty thin though, so we got woken up at 7 by kids in ski boots.

Loved living the lodge life with skiing only half an hour away! The staff were incredibly friendly and made our vacation relaxing and pleasant.

Pros: updated look/feel
Location: 10 minute drive into town. We hiked Bridal Veil Falls, and rode the gondola. Visited the local cannabis club as well.
super clean , updated room. Nice clean bath room, super hot shower. Great little patio and cozy beds. Cheapest place in Telluride, but not cheap in feel. Id stay here again for sure

Disappointing Stay

Posted 24-Oct-2016 on Orbitz
Pros: Location
Cons: Blatant lack of care for patrons and facility.
We were so excited to stay at this cute find outside Telluride. Upon arrival our excitement quickly turned. Our room smelled so awful my husband quickly went to find housekeeping. A young man entered soon after with air-freshener saying 'we cleaned this room all day, it smells like a dog DIED in here, I don't know what to do.' (He repeated that it smelled like death 4 times). He sprayed some spray all over the carpets and bedding and told us he had left the balcony door open all day. He returned awhile later with another spray and said he had talked to his boss about how awful the room smelled. Though the house keeping man was kind, it's appalling that he let his boss know how truly terrible the room smelled and we NEVER heard a word from said boss in our 48 hour stay. We ended up having to sleep with the door open to let fresh air in and I sprayed nearly half a bottle of body spray to keep the room livable. On the last day when we were packing up to check out, I leaned over the end of the bed and was instantly in pain. A THREE INCH splinter off the end of the wood bed was stuck into my newly purchased jeans, leaving a bad hole and a bloody wound. Knowing how nothing was done about the dog stench in our room I felt it would be pointless to mention this to the hotel staff and we just left, happy to be done with that hotel and the staff (aside from the room service attendant who did what he could - within his power) who clearly could not care about their patrons.
