Nice hotel in Placeville

Posted 25-Sep-2016
Pros: Perfect for me given I had to do a training in Placerville. Good price and good service - restaurant on premises a plus.
Cons: Shower drained slowly and when I asked for it to be fixed, I found a note on my door saying they couldn't fix it. Suggest a shower mat for saftey.
The hotel has been revamped and is a great and the only option in Placerville, just 20 minutes from Telluride.

Great place to stay near Telluride.

Posted 16-Sep-2016
Pros: The Inn was comfortable and quiet. It had a restaurant that had delicious and inexpensive food.
Location: The location was a few miles outside Telluride, but worth the stay for the quiet and down-to-earth atmosphere. We would definitely stay there again.
We stayed at this Inn based on their reviews. They were not disappointing. Even though we were a few miles outside Telluride, we totally enjoyed staying at this Inn. The food at their restaurant was delicious and the service was excellent.

Placerville no place to be

Posted 01-Sep-2016
Stayed based on reviews while on southwest trip. Not only was no in room coffee available in AM, there were no gas stations or convenience stores open before seven within twenty miles in either direction. The only restaurant was in the hotel. Just stay in Telluride

Nice, quiet hotel.

Posted 30-Aug-2016
Pros: Location, quietness, spacious, comfortable room; updated bath.
Cons: Coffee pot in room.
Beautiful setting in a quiet location and only 20 minutes from Telluride. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and very relaxing. There was no coffee pot in the room; however, there was a microwave and small refrigerator. It bed was big and comfortable and a small balcony provided a nice location to relax at the end of the day.

Very nice setting within the mountain right along

Good experience except they need to get vending and pop machines available for customers when restaurant is not open. As they are a ways away from town

Great location, close to Telluride.

Posted 15-Aug-2016
Pros: Lodge feeling.
Cons: The facilities did have a few outside structures that could be updated like a retaining wall, a few weeds in the parking lot, etc.
Location: Only about 15-20 minutes from Telluride, CO.
We had a little trouble finding it. g-maps does not recognize the actual address, it was farther down the road the g-maps said. Anyway, the staff was excellent. We called ahead for a late check-in and they were very accommodating since they don't have a 24hr front desk, they told us where to get our key and welcome package. We ended up getting there before they closed. They have a restaurant in the front. We did not eat there and did not eat the free continental breakfast either so I have no comments on food. There is only one negative that we had. The property is located next to residential or some other commercial property that is not as nice as the actual lodge. Kind-of a sore eye. But, it did not affect our stay in any way. We would definitely use this lodge again.

Great staff, clean rooms, good food

Posted 08-Aug-2016
Good stop for the night. Clean rooms and comfy beds (albeit squeaky). Food at the restaurant was great and staff friendly. Only downside to our stay was the fact there was no hot water in our bathroom. After a few minutes of running both the faucet and shower we gave up. Not the end of the world though as we were only staying the one night.

We loved the Angler Inn, great people, great food. Best mason jar bar I've ever been to. The only problem we had was little to no hot water for showering or washing hands ???? Hard to get ice, had to ask staff. Good place for an ice machine. Over all though. Great time.
