Very nice setting within the mountain right along

Good experience except they need to get vending and pop machines available for customers when restaurant is not open. As they are a ways away from town

Great location, close to Telluride.

Posted 15-Aug-2016
Pros: Lodge feeling.
Cons: The facilities did have a few outside structures that could be updated like a retaining wall, a few weeds in the parking lot, etc.
Location: Only about 15-20 minutes from Telluride, CO.
We had a little trouble finding it. g-maps does not recognize the actual address, it was farther down the road the g-maps said. Anyway, the staff was excellent. We called ahead for a late check-in and they were very accommodating since they don't have a 24hr front desk, they told us where to get our key and welcome package. We ended up getting there before they closed. They have a restaurant in the front. We did not eat there and did not eat the free continental breakfast either so I have no comments on food. There is only one negative that we had. The property is located next to residential or some other commercial property that is not as nice as the actual lodge. Kind-of a sore eye. But, it did not affect our stay in any way. We would definitely use this lodge again.

Great staff, clean rooms, good food

Posted 08-Aug-2016
Good stop for the night. Clean rooms and comfy beds (albeit squeaky). Food at the restaurant was great and staff friendly. Only downside to our stay was the fact there was no hot water in our bathroom. After a few minutes of running both the faucet and shower we gave up. Not the end of the world though as we were only staying the one night.

Great place. To bad it was raining though.

We loved the Angler Inn, great people, great food. Best mason jar bar I've ever been to. The only problem we had was little to no hot water for showering or washing hands ???? Hard to get ice, had to ask staff. Good place for an ice machine. Over all though. Great time.

Hope there aren't any issues

Posted 05-Aug-2016
Everything was fine until there was no hot water. Guests weren't told about the issue we heard at breakfast which explained why there was now no water. Plumber on site fixing although apparently wasn't supposed to come until the afternoon. We waited an hour hoping to get a shower. Finally we had to leave because we had other activities planned for the day since we're on vacation. Requested an adjustment at checkout and was told her boss won't let her do that since the issue "wasn't their fault." I wasn't expecting a huge adjustment but when you pay $130 for a room you expect a hot shower. So as long as you don't have any issues and need good customer service your visit should be okay. Restaurant food was delicious.

Nice hotel below 8000 altitude

Posted 03-Aug-2016
Pros: Proximity and cleanliness
Cons: N/A
Location: N/A
I had problems with altitude sickness and needed to find a hotel close to Telluride where my meetings were held. Due to travel issues I had late checkin and due to flight times a very early checkout, so couldn't interact with the staff. It was seemless and easy the staff left an envelope for me with all pertinent info and my key, and checkout was just as easy. All in all a no hassle experience and would stay there again.

Beautiful quaint hotel

Posted 14-Jul-2016
Great location and very pretty. Outdoor patio was nice plus had a shared yard with hammock and fire pit. Free breakfast included make your own waffles. Rooms were a good size with microwave and fridge. Decorated nice, clean but slightly dull. Wheelchair access for lower rooms. Unsure of other floors.

One night at the Angler!

Posted 30-Jun-2016
Location: Less than 15 minutes from downtown Telluride. Pretty drive.
Close enough to Telluride without the Telluride price tag. Live music in the full-service bar was welcome surprise. Fun little courtyard. Easy access. Certainly feels like a Mom and Pop operation. Say No to chains.... spend a night at the Angler Inn.

Very Bed and Breakfast

Posted 21-May-2016
Pros: The quaintness of this place has to be No. 1.
Cons: Unfortunately for us, they had just opened a week before, but the place held up to its quality. Would definitely stay again.
Location: Well, when your buried in the mountains, be prepared to drive to your location, but the drive is awesome and its nice staying in the heart of it all.
It's a great place to stay when you are way up in the mountains!! Very scenic and relaxing.
