"It was okay. "
The last at the front desk wasn't very helpful. But the room was okay if you don't mind 80's decor. It was functional. The pool and hot tub area was clean and nice. It's a beautiful town.

"THE VIEW IS MOST SPECTACULAR"
Morning Noon or night the view from both the Lodge and our room of the Sneffel Mountains is beautiful. The service in the Lodge restaurant, the car valets and the service staff were most supportive. There was a defective hairdryer and clock. They were replaced in a matter of minutes..

"Thanksgiving Perfection"
First time in Telluride, and it couldn't have gone more perfectly. Please note, I am not one to dump blanket praise. I am known to be pretty tough. Now, the Franz Klammer....stayed in room 403 and it is a spacious 2 full bedrooms (king size beds) and full baths (giant jacuzzi tubs, double sinks, the whole bit). Gas fireplace, 3 TVs with Direct TV and DVD players...small kitchen but fully stocked and equipped with top line appliances (Refrig/Freezer, dishwasher, micowave, cooktop and oven). I even baked a Pumpking pie for my birthday daughter! The only complaint I have is that to get from outside to upstairs you have to take two elevators (or take the stairs and then cross over to the "floor" elevator. A very small inconvenience, but an inconvenience nonetheless). Staff is very nice and accommodating. They even made a reservation for us at a great Italian rest in Town (Rustico). Perfectly located and just great! Feel free to ask me questions. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again...a no-brainer!

"Nice property but strange interactions with staff"
The location is amazing and the property is nice. Breakfast was good in the hotel’s restaurant. The view from the balcony, over the golf course and mountains, was fantastic. The room was comfortable. We had one very notable complaint, as follows: We called down at around midnight when we realized there was no remote for the TV. Reception said somebody from housekeeping would be up shortly. A few minutes later there is a VERY LOUD knock on the door with a voice saying "Engineering!" I open the door and two large men are standing there, in what look like Park Ranger uniforms. The one asks me if I need a remote. I say yes. He says that he must program the remote. Both men enter the room. Long story short, here is the correct way to do this: Send one person, not two, to a guest’s door for a simple request like this. Next, do not presume to enter the room. Ask nicely to enter the room, or explain via a phone call that someone will need to enter the room. Much less TWO UNIFORMED MEN at midnight, to provide a remote control that should have been there in the first place. If I was alone, I wouldn’t have minded so much. But my lady was in the room. We both felt the encounter was bizarre, especially for an upscale hotel. Aside from that, the hotel was good. Too many add-on fees, however. Charge a price and be done with it. Also, if you charge a $25 per day Valet fee, why then allow Valet staff to accept tips? The tipping culture in this country is out of control.

"Rest and Recovery"
We attended the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and decided to make Chipeta Resort a stop before we made the long 7 hour drive back to Denver. The resort provided the relation and tranquility we were looking for. We had scheduled massages, enjoyed the steam room and the solar pools. We also enjoyed dinner at the onsite restaurant, which was fresh and delicious. I truly enjoyed this experience and am excited to return in the future.

"Perfect when traveling with a group"
We had a very comfortable visit with my oldest son, who lives in Telluride. The condo served as a home base for the family for meals, skiing, laundry, it was perfect. The view from 102 was spectacular. We also had wonderful Spring ski conditions!

The unit we stayed in was in a great location and comfortable, but was somewhat outdated on its furnishings and amenities.
