Would return

Posted 05-Mar-2017
Pros: Hot tub, steam room, breakfast, ski rental in hotel, and gondola and lift right next door and plenty of eats within a block or two.
Cons: room heat controls. Add auto humidifier system. Regret not using the portable one in the closet.
Great location, staff, amenities, and continental breakfast. Room was way too hot and dry and couldn't seem to control it from the room thermostat. Only stayed one night so didn't bother front desk with it. Would next time.

Truly ski in ski out hotel.

Posted 26-Feb-2017
Pros: Convenience. Great location. Comfort.
Cons: The decor is a bit dated. Telluride is a high altitude resort. Renting a car could be made easier.
Location: Telluride is a great old town with lots to do but we mainly went skiing.
Wonderful hotel for a ski trip! Our large comfy room had a fireplace a balcony had a great shower. Plus a stunning view. The morning breakfast was always a welcome treat. The hotel is located steps from the main gondola lift to the base of Mountain Village. There's a ski valet, lift ticket office and a ski rental store as well as an apres ski bar/restaurant built right into the place. You're just a few blocks from the main street in historic downtown Telluride with plentiful shopping and restaurants. Complaints? Not many that I can think of. Everyone was nice and genuine. The wifi was solid and included. The breakfast area had printouts every morning of latest weather forecasts, NYTimes summaries plus local papers and a spectacular view of the mountain. Hard to beat this place.

Hotel location and rooms great

I have stayed in a 5 star hotel very close to Camel. My room at Camel was more than twice the size, balcony, hot tub, breakfast all very good Location is right at the gondola in town, and very close to many town restaurants.

Very noisy! We seem to always get the worst rooms when we book through Hotels.com. Elevators, noise, bad or no view.
