Moldy ceilings, smoke-filled building, springs coming out of the mattress, walls with chipped paint… i’m not sure what was worse the condition of the building or the health risk from staying one night! Definitely spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.

Very very very dirty and low care for hostel. Room smelled extremely strongly of pure sweat that hadn’t been cleaned in days. Woke up with bumps on my back from some sort of insect bites probably bed bugs. Came in 3 different times to other people sleeping in my bed. No lock or way of securing my personal belongings. Bathrooms smelled. Etc.

Well located budget accommodation.
I think some people who have given this place negative reviews need a reality check. This is a budget place in Tel Aviv, which is a very expensive city in the first place. If you want luxury, then go to one of the swish hotels round the corner for an astronomical price. That said, yes, it's very basic and a little run down, but it's comfortable, clean and very well located and the staff were very helpful. And there was a fan in the room. What more could you ask? Would I stay here again? Definitely. My only advice would be to bring your own soap and shower gel. Towels are provided however.

Toilets need improving.
It’s a hostel, so we did not have great expectations of luxury. The beds/room had clean sheets and air conditioning, so basic but fine. The toilets and sink were not remotely clean. It was a good spot as far as access to what we wanted to see and do. The beach is near by.

Nice small hostel with great location!
Great stay at Momo's. Service was excellent and the location was absolutely amazing. Just few minutes walk away from the beach and restaurants. Free breakfast included a coffee/tea/juice and a sandwich, and you have an possibility to upgrade it to Israeli egg breakfast for 20 NIS. Check out and breakfast was until 12.00pm on weekends and holidays, which was a nice surprise. Stayed in a 2 bed private room, the cleanliness could've been better, but other than that we had a great stay and the bed was very comfortable! Over all very nice small hostel in amazing location!

Excellent manager and staff.
The Manager Amit is absolutely amazing with a great spirit and energy. I was so amazed that he remembered me from 2 years ago. WOW. He goes out of his way to take care if the customers. All the staff are under his direction. David one of the employees made me feel very at home and was very kind. I don't remember all the names but everyone was great.

Please do NOT book with momo!!
I booked Momo’s hostel. I arrived late and they tell me no more rooms available! But they can put me in at 34 sky hostel. It was late at 1am so I had no Choice but to go to the other hostel. The other hostel was dirty. There was a cockroach. The spring bed was awful. I would not recommend to book with momo. You are better paying a bit more for somewhere else! And the included breakfast is just 2 sandwiches and tea or coffee. They also charge their guests to store your luggage for the day! Not a good stay, you risk booking with them to just be Put in a far worser hostel.

Rather crummy and not the kind of hostel for travellers, but more for people needing somewhere to live. Ended up in a dorm that two people had made into a home and had all their belongings there. Poor shower/toilets and quite run down. I would avoid like anything. I was put up in sister hostel (Sky hostel)

Seriously?? people like it? But really, don't go!!
OMG!! What a trip back to an original 1950s hostel left unchanged, un-maintained and un-cleaned. It was like stepping back into the 80's of no health and safety! Absolutely unhealthy and completely no safety. The place is a mess of broken, worn-out furniture, untouched decoration, dangerous wiring and dirt. We had a dishevelled room of cr4p furniture, nearly there air-con (the word is CON), and a disgusting bathroom, complete with a self-assembly shower. The shower not-screen created the perfect slip-hazard as you step on to the invisible bathmat. The bathroom doubles as a toilet and sauna combined!! The tiny foul room with three wee beds, one for baby bear, one for baby bear and one for baby bear. Easy choice for Goldilocks. We used the room for the day to wait for a night flight home, so could leave our baggage. Thank goodness we didn't need to sleep in such a dirty, depressing, dingy, hot squat. A homeless shelter would be more appealing (and cheaper). On a plus side, the CLEAN beach was very close to the CLEAN sea and beach showers. Restaurants and the market is also very near, so that's good. The Hobbithole staff were happy to organise the taxi to the airport for 5NIS more than the advert on their wall in reception. Unfortunately, as we had suitcases, spoke English, told them that we were to fly out that very night to the UK - they neglected to inform the driver as to which airport we wanted. The staff did help with baggage up 2 flights (no lifts) but not down.

Perfect for solo travelers
It's a very basic, but at the same time very nice hostel. Especially, if you're traveling solo - met a lot of interesting and cool people in the downstairs bar (not youngsters, what was cool as well). The hostel might be a bit cleaner, but, as I understand, that's a common problem in Israel. Yet, location is truly amazing. Walkable to most sightseeing places and nice sandy beach - ONLY 3 MINUTES! Shops, pharmacies, small restaurant, and bars - just downstairs. Would recommend and stay myself if back to Tel Aviv.

Good price, location and staff, not very clean
This was my second stay at Momo's. The staff are friendly, the hotel is well located. However, you need to accept that you get such a cheap rate because the rooms are not very clean: marks on the bed, bottles not cleared from previous inhabitants. I didn't think it was so bad so as not to come back (clearly, this was my second stay), but you need to know this before booking. It is one of the cheapest and best located places to get a private room in central TLV, and I would stay here again.

Ok, at best, for the price
You get what you pay for. It's cheap so you can't really expect much. Also the upgrade breakfast is ok so you won't die from hunger. Service is pretty much non existent but that's Israel in general.

The staff were Amazing and very very accommodating pleasent and very helpful. The hostel itself was quite run down and not cared for. The location was excellent. The place needs a major remodeling. I will the room and toilets were as amazing as the staff. There were big holes in the walls in the room and they could stand to get better mattresses etc...

Typical cheap hostel
Stayed here only one night. The staff welcomed me even though my very late arrival, and the room was comfortable enough to rest after a long flight. You can take a cup of coffee or tea with a sandwich for free for your breakfast.
