BRACKEN is a beautiful log cabin with lovely outlook over open meadow.

The cabin has a wealth of character and charm to give that real log cabin experience.

Situated in extensive grounds in a peaceful woodland setting approximately 150 yards from the shore of beautiful Loch Awe.

The site is in an area of outstanding beauty, with breath taking scenery, endless walks and abundant wildlife. Whether you require a base from which to explore Argyll and the west coast, simply enjoy the local area or just relax and be at one with nature our log cabins provide the perfect location.

The accommodation consists of open plan Lounge, dining area and kitchen, double bedroom, triple-bunk room and family shower room.

The lounge / dining area has a high vaulted ceiling, Satellite TV, DVD, Hi Fi (via TV and DVD), free wi-fi, double sofa bed, easy chairs, dining table for six and a lovely wood burning stove. The front elevation is mainly glazed, to maximize the views, with French windows opening onto a raised veranda area.

The kitchen area is well equipped, with cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and all necessary utensils, crockery and cutlery.

Shower room is tastefully finished and has electric shower, wash basin, toilet and shaver point.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed, built in wardrobe / clothes storage and bed side cabinet. Bedroom 2 has triple bunk beds (double + single over), wardrobe / clothes storage and bed side cabinet. Top bunk suitable for children under 16 only.

Outside there is parking for 2 cars, an elevated veranda with garden furniture, a BBQ / fire pit area and ample grounds. The cabin provides privacy and is close to a large open meadow on which children can play safely.

The cabin is timber lined throughout, double glazed, highly insulated, well heated and suitable for year round use. It provides a balance of luxury and comfort while maintaining the character, charm and feel of a true log cabin in a quiet woodland location.

All electricity and linen (not towels) are included within quoted prices. This is a non smoking cabin.

It was cold and damp for most of the week but we just loved the area and the accommodation. So relaxing, we will definitely be back.

Mooie rustige cabin
De cabin ligt mooi, met uitzicht op groot grasveld: schoon, ruim, comfortabel. Een minpunt vonden wij dat er weinig voorzieningen waren buiten te zitten (een picknicktafel, maar geen stoelen). Verder ligt hij in een prachtige omgeving, maar houdt er rekening mee dat Oban (dichtsbijzijnde plaats met grote supermarkt en meerdere voorzieningen) op ca. een uur rijden ligt. De winkel op het terrein zelf heeft overigens wel een en ander en op het terrein zelf is een bar (gerund door de commnunity) waar je prima kunt eten.

rustikale gemütliche Cabin in idyllischer Lage für Naturliebhaber und Ruhesuchende
Der erste Eindruck war sehr positiv, es hat auch so schön nach Holz geduftet. Es sollte klar sein, dass die Cabin rustikal ist, aber es ist alles da, was man braucht. Die Dusche funktioniert sehr gut und das WIFI auch, die Betten sind gemütlich und mit feiner Bettwäsche bezogen. Das Geschirr ist so sauber, wie es die Vorgänger verlassen haben, klar, das kann der Vermieter nicht machen. Sonst alles sauber und in Ordnung. Die Ruhe war herrlich, auch abhängig von den anderen Gästen. Jeder sollte sich anschauen, wo sich die Cabins befinden, man fährt ziemlich weit zum nächsten Ort. Im kleinen Laden gibt es alles Nötige und die Royal Mail hat unsere Karten von da aus in nur 2 Tagen nach Deutschland gebracht :) ! Für uns war die Woche dort wunderschön, ein ganz besonderer Ort am schönen Loch Awe. Wir sind gewandert, aber auch mal nach Oban,an die Küste (Isle of Seil sehr zu empfehlen) und in den traumhaften Garten Arduaine gefahren. Das Objekt ist sehr zu empfehlen für Menschen, die die Natur lieben, gern draußen sind, die Ruhe und schöne Landschaften genießen. Übrigens saßen wir abends meistens drin, es gab dann doch ein paar Mücken. Hoffentlich können wir eines Tages an diesen schönen Ort zurück kommen.
