Everything was amazing except for someone running down the hall all night and I couldn’t sleep, same thing with the bathroom …toilet kept making noises like it was filling up the flush water all night

The reception staff were amazing! Made us feel welcome and nothing was a problem. Our room was perfect and we slept really well. We had breakfast in the restaurant and it was YUM. Thank you to all the staff at Novotel, New Plymouth.

Comfortable but not luxurious
Clean and comfortable room, but lots of little niggles. Accor seem to have gone on a profit kick, you can’t just check in and go and put your feet up - they tell you all about their membership first. Full fridge of things to buy in the room, but a note saying you can call reception for milk for your coffee if you want it. Even the water is for a fee. The TV has a weird surround that means you have to turn it up weird to hear it. And if you’re a few minutes late to check out, you’ll get a call to chase you out the building. Not the best, maybe not worth the price.

Paid a whopping $524 for one night for a 2 bedroom suite. It's really hard to get the room dark even after turning all the lights off, dimming the display on the alarm next to the bed, turning off the aircon unit off so that the green neon light won't lit up the room. The curtails allow a lot of light from bright neon signage from Plymouth international across the road. Had a sleepless night and I had a long drive the next day which was tiresome.

After paying peak rate during Easter holiday the room aircon was not working (not cooling) during the daytime. I was given a fan to cool the room and was told that the room has design flaws and they are in process of upgrading the aircon system.

The location is great with easy access for getting around the one-way street system. The hotel is modern and the rooms are spacious and clean. We had a twin room which looked in-to a large concrete wall which was very unpleasant. The hotel was not able to move us to a better room which was disappointing as we were here for pleasure not business.
