The room was clean. The air conditioning was pretty noisy. There is evidence of mold everywhere. The hallways are dark and it seems that you are walking inside a Fransiscan convent or monastery. The room is old and it does not have enough furniture. The parking lot is medium size. There is a group of coaties walking around the parking lot and the lobby. They do not look aggressive but I keep my distance from them because it is a family of around 10 animals. There is nothing around the hotel. You need a taxi or a car

Nice beech but the rooms were nasty.
The pools and the private beech were awesome. The rooms were old and dirty. The toilet was leaking from the bottom.

Worst experience ever
This is one of the few hotels that have a private beach on Madero, this hotel was magnificent like 20 years ago , now needs a lot of maintenance, the floor is cracked there are spots that still have the title broken and the luggage gets caught in them, the walls are dirty, also the furniture inside the room. The rooms are so sad , the towels are gray bc they are super old (like the ones that we give to our pets) they don’t have wifi. The bathroom is old old , so old that you can hear the plumbing making noises. The food is edible, noting to remember. The “all inclusive” has one choice of beer without paying. I had an incident where I “lost” my phone , and the security manager was so horrible with me and was just telling me that the service didn’t take it , when I was just arriving and I had talked only with 2 persons ( one at the towel for the pools and the other on the bar at the beach) , so she didn’t help. The reception manager was the one who helped me, I had to call the police so I could go and file a demand so they could investigate an check the cameras bc the security manager didn’t want to do it. I called my number and they turned it of. Th next day when I was going to the police they “found it “ . So my experience was so awful, I will never recommend, and never return again.

The location of Club Maeva was perfect. One short walk on the pedestrian bridge brought us to the gorgeous pool area with two pools--one for little kids and one for adults. A paved path led from the pools to the Gulf beaches, complete with grass-hut style cabanas with wooden chairs. There was a convenient shower area so that the sand stayed on the beach, and wasn't dragged up into the pool side. We were disappointed that the rooms did not have coffee/tea makers, microwaves or fridges, but the housekeeping staff was outstanding in keeping up with the towel supplies, etc. The front desk clerk called cabs for us and even found out where to get covid tests for USA visitors. The dining room had a good supply of fruit and other breakfast items. The coffee, however, was of low quality compared to the other food items. The experience of being that close to the Gulf beaches was fantastic. We hope to return in the future.

Amazing experience
Absolutely loved this hotel, and enjoyed my stay with my new girlfriend very much. The front desk spoke English, although Spanish is recommended for this city. Great location, vendors near by and very cool restaurants and bars at the beach area. Lots of police protecting the area, especially in and out traffic. Awesome food, very nice staff and bartenders, awesome pools good beach areas. Hotel is old but it’s all about the character of this hotel which was one of the first hotels at this beach and it’s old and beautiful. Stone everything and open air halls and walk ways, thus WiFi only works downstairs. Whats important was that ac worked great and room is clean and comfortable. overall was an amazing experience, and have everlasting memories because of club M

Spend 3 days at the hotel. Worst hotel in Tampico by far. When i arrived there were military people and federales everywhere. At first i thought something bad happened. When i went in to check in i was told that it was their post. They are actually staying at the hotel. My room was next to the military office. They have some sort of deal were the military stays and lives in the hotel. there is no wifi in any of the rooms, you have to go to the main lobby. The hotel looks ok from far, but up close is very old and outdated. i had a "do not disturb" sign on the door and the cleaning lady even came in the room while i was sleeping to see if i needed room cleaning. (totally not cool) on the 3rd night, i didnt notice this till i was about to leave to the airport, one of the white bedroom sheets had a blood stain on it (disgusting), i slept on that! when we were by the pool, people from the beach came into the resort. they weren't even guests. the jacuzzi had a couple dead bugs floating around. the second night at the hotel the power went out, luckly i had my battery pack to charge my cellphone and tablet. one the first night, they're supposed to have dinner buffet but because there were not alot of people they were service from the menu. So you could order as mucha as you wanted (like a buffet), but the menu was very plain. It didnt show a picture of anything on the menu, we decided to order in from a near by restaurant that delivered tacos, tortas, burritos. worst hotel

The hotel is right in the Miramar beach which is a very nice beach and one of the plus for the hotel. The sand is beige color and you can run on the beach and make some workout. You can visit the boardwalk and eat some interesting snacks walking on the beach. The problem with the hotel is that seems that is still in maintenance and the noise propagates in the room, so if the maintenance team is working at night you will know. Probably because was before the holy week and actually the complete city is preparing for the high season. The room needed a little maintenance, everything was functional but required some painting.

Good beach but that's it.
This is the worst hotel I have ever visited. I went went for 5 days and after the first day I was ready to leave. The beach is beautiful and my son live it so that's the only reason we decide to stay. Over the weekend food wasn't that bad but they only have buffet so it makes the meals very expensive. The hotel is empty during the week so you might get old food from the buffet.

Ours was a visit to family that live in the Tampico area, we are from Arizona. The service at Maeva is outstanding, from the front desk to the cleaning lady, they all care to make your stay a pleasant one, great people! The quality of the food/buffets is barely acceptable, because of low occupancy they saved the left overs from one day to the next. They list of activities/entretainment for guests is varied and plentiful. If you decide to come during the high season you will enjoy your visit. It is a bit far from Tampico and the airport, it will cost $60-$80 pesos for a one way taxi ride. Security is not an issue at Maeva or the Tampico/Madero area, don't be influenced by media's exagerated news reports, enjoy the beach and the ocean at Maeva.

Muy descuidado pero con buen servicio y alimentos.
Cuando lo visite en familia en el 2001 que era de grupo MAEVA al igual que el de Manzanillo era un hotel o resort todo incluido que lo superaba el de Manzanillo en animación y en espectaculos nocturnos e instalaciones pero considerando que el precio es menor no estaba mal pero este fin del 2023 que regreso con mi familia me encontre con un hotel muy descuidado con cero mantenimiento en general desde las puertas de acceso a todas las areas comunes en especial del sanitarios y un poco las habitaciones , el servicio del personal es bueno se esmeran por atenderte, la comida es variada , suficiente y con buen sazon pero en el reestaurante Maria Cata que acudi por el numero de nocches a comida y cena el primer dia se les termino el filete de res y el segundo el pollo ??? por lo que ordene algo diferente es increible pero cierto en general es un hotel regular que deberian de vender o comprar una cadana como IHG , Hampton Inn, Camino Real u otro y rescatarlo del abandono y descuido de decadas !!!
