"The rooms aren’t clean. The hotel itself is out dated. The first room they gave me was a king and I booked a double. The staff told me it’s at their discretion what they give. They then gave me a double. It was very dirty with stains on the sheets. They then switched me to another room. I woke up with ants in my bed. I was over it at this point."
"This hotel has some of the best views we’ve ever experienced. The infinity pool is absolutely stunning, the grounds are spotless and beautifully maintained, and the wildlife around the property made the stay even more special. We heard howler monkeys in the trees both front and back, saw green macaws flying overhead daily, and plenty of other tropical birds throughout our stay.
The service was excellent from start to finish. Check-in was friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast staff were always kind and attentive. The rooms were well equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hairdryer, and a mini fridge/mini bar. We never had an issue finding loungers by the pool, and the sunsets from both the balcony and infinity pool were absolutely incredible.
There is also a pool bar serving a great assortment of blended drinks, local beers, craft beers, and hard liquor available for an additional charge — perfect for relaxing by the pool and enjoying the view.
Breakfast was good overall and fairly consistent each day. They served scrambled eggs, coffee, juices, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, and pastries and of course gallo pinto.
The hotel shuttle was a great perk, running hourly from 9am–9pm to downtown Tamarindo and the Langosta Beach Club. We often walked into town, but the hills on the way back can definitely be a workout in the heat.
The Langosta Beach Club was another huge highlight and an amazing included amenity. It’s right on the beach with a beautiful pool."
"The room was very clean, well equipped and exactly to our taste. The grounds were immaculately cleaned daily. We were very pleased to see 24 hour a day security in the front and beach side of the building. We extend our highest praise for the front desk staff. Jerry, Stephanie and especially Deiyan could not have been more pleasant and helpful. They made us feel at home with each interaction. They are fantastic assets to the hotel.
Our only complaint is that we selected the Coast Hotel is because we came to CR to visit our kids and grandkids who live 2 minutes away from the hotel but for some inexplicable reason they were totally restricted access to the grounds, let alone to even visit us in our room. This is the very first time we have ever experienced this type of restriction."
"Location was perfect walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the beach! Staff was friendly and helped us navigate the general area near the hotel."
"Alberca grande con hermosas flores alrededor, el empleado Jesus fue muy amable, nos dio muchos tips de Costa Rica y nos dio buen servicio. Desayuno estuvo rico."
