The shower knob was very difficult to turn and I was afraid it was going to break. The paint on the ceiling was peeling off and the bed and pillows were hard as a rock. Room was clean and perfect for a quick rest on a long road trip.

I got put next to some loud people who were banging and loud all night. I tried to call the office 3 times to see if I could get a room change, no response. On top of all of that, the sheets/covers were dirty and the ceiling was peeling and looked like it was about to fall in. Also, it was under 30 degrees and the heater in my room didn’t work I also couldn’t get in contact with them to get me room switched.

The staff is what made the stay really great. We arrived pretty late and the temperature had dropped. The heater wasn’t working in our rooms and the front desk was quick to transfer us to different rooms. They were quick to respond when we needed additional towels and always had hot free coffee in the lobby available. Everyone was very pleasant. The main drawback was the cleanliness of the rooms when it came to bugs. We saw some tiny baby roaches in both rooms/ bathrooms. However, both beds were clean! The bathroom tub in one of our rooms was also not super clean. But I can give benefit of the doubt that it’s probable maybe the room hadn’t been fully turned over since we had to change rooms at 1 am when we arrived. The hair dryer was also broken in our room. The main thing that would help this property is doubling down on fumigating for the bugs. Other than those setbacks - we had a good stay for the price and what we were looking for. The staff is great and helped enhance our experience. Location was good for dining experiences and stores.

Bed sheets had some stains that looked like blood and the other ones had stains and the staff stated that was becouse they use strong detergents and that the residues stains the sheers SMH off course i made them change them I will never sleep or put my kids in sheets like that

Worse hotel stay ever
Hole in sheet (looked like cigarette burn?). TV would not power on. Electrical outlets were so loose, barely worked. Shower/tub faucet handle could not be turned on by my wife; I could barely budge it with great effort. We checked in about 2am, so requested a noon checkout time, instead of 11am, which was approved by desk clerk. Housekeeping supervisor knocked on door at 11am. I told her we had a noon checkout. She said desk clerk made an error and there had NEVER been an allowed noon checkout at this property. After much discussion she seemed to think she was being generous and said we had to be out at 11:30. Floor was sticky. Bathroom was so tiny, you could barely be able enter and shut the door. Bath towels were thread-bare. Room inventory was extremely tight in Tallahassee (FSU football game that day), so price was more than double usual rate for this property. I understand supply-and-demand pricing but this stay was the worse price-to-value hotel experience I have had in my 50+ years of hotel lodging.

The hotel was very hard to find as there were no signs and it was tucked up a hill behind Cracker Barrel. In looking on my phone i couldn't find an actual address other than University in its name so thought it was downtown. When i called the front desk for directions was sent in the opposit direction The place itself was nice with lots of little touches i appreciated. I am an older traveler and finding this hotel was a real stresser. When heading east on the way home one could see the Red Roof sign butt not heading west....

Only reason we stayed here was because we couldn’t find any available hotel. This place needs a total remodel, deep cleaning, and needs to be vented. The smell was absolutely nasty we had to go to Dollar tree to buy disinfecting spray, air fresheners , cleaning products, pillow cases. What a horrible rough night. Never again!

Just make sure you ask them to make the room daily because I didn't and they never came to do the room. I went to get coffee in the lobby twice and both times it was locked bc the front desk agent was walking the property. Other than that, it was fine and i love the a/c noise in order to sleep.

don’t stay at this place. Worse place I have ever
The room was worse place I stayed in 59 years. I guarantee it had mold in room. The heating and air was not working correctly. The bed was uncomfortable and thiught it was going fall down. TV was so old. Toilet I wouldwas uncomfortable to sit on. Shower and tub was so old and not had maintenance for ever. The paint on ceiling and walls was so bad. The staff was not rude but could been better.

Our room keys did not work multiple times. We came back late and there were several men with their pants down hanging out in the parking lot. The young lady at the front desk was so friendly and tried her best to accommodate us. She deserves a raise!

Totally unacceptable and at an exorbitant rate. Entire property is neglected. Mold around outlets, broken toilet seat, room smelled, A/C would not shut off. We saw 4 rooms and they all were awful. This is not a budget motel, it’s a dump. The only bright spot was the front desk employee who helped us try to find something we could sleep in.

Horrible experience!!! Stayed 9/29/23 in room 240. No towels in our room when we arrived (Girl at front desk was nice enough to bring some when called) Room smelled like cigarettes when we booked a non-smoking room. Comforter was stained and had cigarette burns. Remote for tv didn't work (Girl at front desk tried to help but couldn't fix with new batteries nor another remote) Hair all over floor in bathroom. Tried to plug in phone on nightstand to charge and outlet didn't work. Pulled out nighstand and the cordcap was gone. Couldnt plug into wall to utilize. (Showed to girl from front desk. She said she would let maintenance know) Shower handle very hard to turn. Was worried I was going to break it. All of this was minor compared to the bugs that were coming from behind the vanity mirror on the wall. We will be traveling to the area again next month and won't even consider staying here again.
