Our hotel has an amazing location; 1/2 block from the State Capital of Florida, walking distance to wonderful restaurants, museums, shops and offices. This puts us in Downtown Tallahassee! Alas when you have historic buildings in the downtown area of a city you will find that the buildings are very close together which makes windows in some cases impossible and in other cases the very tight view of the building next door in others. We have many different types of rooms all with various benefits. The next time you visit call the hotel and we can direct you to the rooms with the large windows overlooking College Ave. In the mean time we wish you continued safe travels.

Dear Saul, We are all very sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. At this time we do not have valet service, but we do hope to have that up and running soon. We also do, in fact have not elevator, but as with the valet service all of this information is stated very clearly on the Expedia (or it's affiliates) web site. The room you booked clearly stated that stairs were involved to get to the room and that the hotel had no elevator. The follow up email also explained to you in detail the parking situation and all of the other covid changes the hotel is experiencing. Dearest Joyce we are so very sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. Again we apologize for the confusion upon your check-in. As explained when you were checking in, when the credit card holding a reservation can not get authorization the hotel has no choice but to cancel the reservation as we have no means to get paid in the case of a no-show. Gladly when you arrived around midnight we still still had your room and I made a new reservation for you, it just took slightly longer then our normal check-in process. I am not sure how you did not receive a promised late check-out, as you checked out after 11am, but did not mention anything as you were leaving. We generally always agree to a 12 noon check out, if it was a later request that would be on a per case basis. Unfortunately our normal breakfast has be covid modified for now. I am surprised you did not get the notification from Expedia noting this on your reservation. We are all looking forward to a day when these concerns and precautions will no longer be necessary. Dearest Anonymous we are so very sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. Much of your disappointment seems to be a great misunderstanding, which makes it so much worse. If only you had discussed with us your issues (or read the letter you were given at check in) you would have found that we did indeed have our 'courtesy breakfast' from 8am - 11am each morning. Also we requested that you let us know you have trash and for you to leave it outside so that we can dispose of it for you. Yes, indeed, if you would like to purchase water from our convenience store it is $2.00, but that would be only after we supplied two complementary bottles of water in your room when you arrived. We all hope for the end of this covid so that things can go back to normal, but until then we do not service the occupied rooms (as the letter on check in also stated). We do hope you will try us again at the end of these Covid issues, which seems to be sooner then later. Until then we wish you continued safe travels.

I don't know if a "blast" would describe us, but I agree we were a lot more fun before plexiglass barriers, mask wearing, no manager reception and a scaled down breakfast. But I firmly believe that by the fall we should be back and (because of a renovation we will be undergoing) better then ever!
