The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The place itself is worn out, in need of major lift up. In general we are not picky, but this place is quite plane. I would give 2 stars at best.

Well-located and good value
Small family resort with a few seafront villas. Quiet location but within walking distance to the Main Street area that is filled with restaurants and bars. All in all good value.

We recently stayed at Fanari Seafront at the beginning of January 2018. The breakfast buffet was lovely and the staff were very friendly. We didn't realize that there were 2 Fanari resorts (just down the road from each other), and we showed up to the wrong one in our taxi. The staff didn't blink an eye and they drove us the 300m to the other resort themselves. We also got fresh towels everyday, which was great as it took a long time for them to dry out when it was a bit humid and rainy.

Not very flexible.
Ok place. No beach at high tide. Room was right next to loud pool. They would not change it. Also denied request for late checkout as I waited to be picked up for dive trip in the afternoon. Shower was cold though bath had hot water. Mediocre breakfast. Shampoo bottle was greasy from them refilling it with some cheap stuff. No soap to wash hands just bath gel. Overall, meh. You can find better for the price in Khao Lak.

Worth the money
Room met all basic needs, but don’t come here if you’re looking for a luxury resort. Room lights are a little dark. Note that there is no beach per se, just a sandy part of the villa linked to a staircase leading down directly into the sea.

The seafront wing room was lovely, good for value. The view from there was very relaxing. Breakfast was also good, with different Thai dishes everyday. The only thing I wasn't as satisfied with was the bathroom, the shower water would run along the side of the bathtub and onto the bathroom floor, but there's no drain on the floor, so there's always a big puddle of water, and the foot mat is always wet. But other than that, all good.

Good value for the cost in a nice area
The hotel is located on a quiet street but there were ample restaurants all within a 5 min walk. A 10 min walk takes you to the night market. You can swim in front of the hotel but we walked just 5 mins up the road and rented chairs and an umbrella. We like a long beach that is good for walking and this was perfect. You can walk for miles. We also felt very safe here. Breakfast was excellent as was the pool area and WIFI. There was not a lot of water pressure but it was sufficient. We do highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed in a superior room that was very spacious. It had 2 normal size double beds in it side by side, but they were not quite big enough for both myself and my husband to sleep comfortably in one so we had to sleep as in twin beds. I would have preferred a large double. The room they gave us was tucked away in a corner near facing a brick wall and it made the room seem quite dark. The lighting, especially in the bathroom was too dim. The bathroom was very clean but felt a little on the small side. No shower screen , only a shower curtain which allowed water to run all over the floor. It also didn't help that the shower head was spraying in all directions but down. Having said all this the breakfast was excellent, staff friendly, rooms very clean. Ocean Swimming out the front of the hotel was governed by the tides and most of the time we were there it was too high and rough to attempt it.You can walk 5 minutes down the road to access a beach where you can sit on the sand and swim at all times of the day. Fanari has a seawall and a man made sand lounge area. We got an excellent rate through Hotels.com so I cant complain but I wouldn't want to pay the top rates to stay there.

Not what was expected
We were expecting to be going to a resort as shown in the photos. Instead the photos were pre-Tsunami and some were from the other Fanari Resort. Rooms were great and the Staff were clearly were having the same problem with other guests expectations. The restaurant was closed and we had to go up the road to the main Fanari building for breakfast.

Mycket trevligt hotell. Litet o mysigt med fantastisk personal. Fina rum och bra frukost. Enda negativa är att det inte är riktig strand direkt vid hotellet. Nära till många restauranger och nattmarknaden.

Mycket trevligt boende! Saknade dock en bar på hotellet där man kunde få en snabb kaffe/dryck. Mat och dryck kunde fås men hämtades från systerhotellet så det tog en stund. Gratis vatten! Personalen var mycket trevlig.

Mysigt hotell med trevlig personal men går inte att bada på stranden utanför pga mur och tidvatten som inte syns på bilderna. Får ta taxi för att komma runt tillbaka från stora stranden pga stor kanal med tidvatten , inga gångstigar.

Lugn, familjevänlig resort på stranden
Mysig liten resort på stranden i Bang Niang. Rum med antingen hav eller pool utanför terassen. God frukostbuffé och prisvärd lunch om man vill, som vi, komma i fas med tidsomställning och koppla av på hotellet första dagarna. Allt finns inom 50 m från alla rum. Generösa sängar och ok badrum. Ingen lyx men bekvämt. Ca 1 km promenad förbi små affärer och många restauranger upp till huvudvägen mot Khao Lak och Phuket. Vi var jättenöjda med vistelsen. Bodde 3 nätter innan vi mönstrade på en båt för 5 dagars dykning. Kan absolut rekommenderas!

Härligt hotell
Enorma sängar, härlig pool och nära till både strand och shoppinggata. Ett hotell jag gärna väljer igen! 4 minuters promenad till vänster om hotellet bjuder på härliga beach resturanger med goda drinkar. Jo, hotellet har en duktig äggkock på frukosten :)

L'hôtel est en fait composé de deux établissements séparés de 500 mètres. Nous étions dans la partie face à la mer (les seuls clients ou presque). La terrasse qui nous séparait de la mer est en mauvais état. La mer tellement proche vient abîmer cette partie. Nous aurions préféré être logés dans l'autre établissement en retrait de la mer, plus accueillant. L'entretien du bord de la piscine aurait pu être mieux fait .

Deze accommodatie ligt op 2 minuten lopen van het strand. Het Fanari Khaolak Resort ligt aan de kust van Phang Nga Bay, biedt gemakkelijk toegang tot Bangniang Beach, beschikt over moderne kamers met airconditioning en heeft 2 buitenzwembaden. De kamers van het Fanari Khaolak Resort zijn voorzien van een lcd-tv van 32 inch met satelliet- of kabelzenders, koffie- en theefaciliteiten en een minibar. Ze hebben ook een eigen badkamer met een föhn. Er is gratis mineraalwater beschikbaar.

Då vi var där i mars/april =lågsäsong så blev vi slussade till ett annat hotell för att äta frukost. Många barer/restauranger är stängda. Jag blev attackerad av lösspringande hundar under en av mina morgonturer efter stranden. Vill du uppleva "äkta" Thailand ska du inte åka till Khao Lak, allt är uppbyggt för turister. Är du ute efter sol och bad är det hel ok, dock lite svårt med stränder vid högvatten vid vissa stränder.

Hotel ist recht einfach, aber sauber und okay. Der Pool ist klein und wird vorwiegend von den vielen Kindern genutzt. Die Lage ist nicht übermäßig gut. Wir brauchten nur was für eine Nacht, dafür hat es gepasst.

(Dette er anmeldelse af Fanari Seawing) Her er bare hyggeligt og helt low key. Der er flere børnefamilier. Resortet benyttes bl.a. af Apollo Rejser (hvis det siger noget om kvaliteten). Man skal gå lidt ned af vejen for at finde en børnevenlig strand. Og her er også masser af massage muligheder. Der er kun morgenmadsrestaurant - den er til gengæld super god. Men man kan bestille mad, som leveres fra en nabo restaurant. Masser af restauranter i nærområdet.

Ein nettes Strandhotel, nur leider nicht zum Baden
Im 1.Zimmer roch es sehr moderig feucht, auf de Hinweis bin wurde Duftspray versprüht, aber nach 2 min kam der Geruch wieder. Am nächsten Tag hab ich dann ein anderes Zimmer beziehen können. Die Lage ist ruhig, fast am Ende der Strasse, direkt am Strand, man kann über eine Treppen ins Wasser, aber es hat dort recht starke Wellen, aber Strand liegen istganznett, aber man liegt nur in einem eingezäunten Bereich, dann doch lieber 5 Min weiter gehen zum Strand vom "The Beach" dort für 80THB eine Strandliege nehmen. Frühstück war gut, Service war gut, es war auch Alles sauber, nur im Pool war ich nicht. Insgesamt ein schönes kleines Hotel.

Udmærket billigt hotel helt ned til stranden
Udmærket lille hotel helt ned til stranden i Khao Lak, og meget velegnet til afslapning. Dog er pool og poolområde meget småt, og der bliver hurtigt trængsel. Til gengæld er der god plads ud mod stranden, hvor der også er liggestole til frit brug. Selve stranden kan dog kun nåes ved at gå ned ad trappe, og ved højvande, går man direkte ud i vandet. I området er en del hyggelige restauranter, men for at komme til de mere aktive dele af området, skal man enten gå en del, eller tage en tuk-tuk eller lignende.
