The hotel looked amazing, grand entrance and beautifully decorated. We stayed there only to sleep which was a shame as I'm sure we would have enjoyed relaxing here as there was a swimming pool here, etc.
We stayed 1 night at the Trident, it was peaceful and relaxing with beautiful green gardens, it was really nice to return to after the chaos of Agra. Staff were all very helpful.
It is well placed for the Taj, just a few minutes on an auto, which are to be found right outside the hotel gates.
The only down side really was that it did feel quite expensive - meals and drinks were pricey! and although the food was nice it wasn't anything out of the ordinary ( we ate from the bar snacks menu as we didn't want a huge a la carte meal ).
We would return to this hotel, but I can't imagine that we would want to be in Agra again. The monuments are fabulous - we went to the fort, the Taj and the baby Taj - but other than that there is little to recommend the city.
The hotel is in a nice old fashioned style. Al facilities are newly renovated and in good condition. The pool on the rooftop gives a excellent vieuw when swimming. The staff and service personal are most friendly and do their upmost best to make you feel comfortable. Most of them are poor guys coming from darjeeling. Nobody will ask for anything but please be generous in giving a tip for their excellent service. The only negative part of this hotel is that they dont have any facilities for the drivers if you come by touring car. As there are no places closeby where the can stay according to their budget our driver had to find himself a hotel 30 km further. The hotel even don't allow them to make use of any other facility as washroom or parking where they sometimes sleep in their car. We talked to the manager and he told us that this situation is temporarely as they are not yet official inaugurated. So if you come by touring car take this in account because your driver is in this country a important support and needs yours evenso as you needs his

Synonymous with love, loss, and beauty, the Taj Mahal, on a bank of the Yamuna, is one of the world's most recognizable monuments. This white marble mausoleum of Mumtaz Mahal, the beloved 3rd wife of Emperor Shah Jahan, is considered to be the zenith of Mughal architecture. While you may reserve your awe for the mausoleum, do not forget to admire the other beautiful structures in the complex.
