1st time and impressed
Very nice place to stay; not only it's location in the heart of most popular area in Taipei, but also the facility, the hospitality, & the detail. Good place to stay for sure!!

No , If I really need to say , not cheap . I stayed in Le Meridien in Giza , Cairo In Jan 2019 . But the one in Taipei is really nice .

Very clean and nice. Loved the size of the room and the bathroom as well. Only thing I would recommend is to have a bigger shower head and also a nicer in room dining menu.

Stayed at the 1 bedroom suite (1) stain was found when I was about to bed at 2am, reported to front desk, they sent housekeeping to change it immediately, what disappointed me was I could not feel their sincere apology, they thought it was not a problem after the problem was fixed, I feedback again when I checked out the next day, the staff gave me the “noted” attitude and changed the subject. (2) Shower was moldy. (3) Club lounge has so much space to be improved in terms of food offers and service. Tried to look for dinner recommendations, the staff kept on asking me what kind of cuisine I was looking for, I said I was fine with anything delicious, she replied there were a lot and could not recommend me any if I couldn’t specific what cuisine I wanted and then she left.

Just ok 1st experience, deserve a 2nd try.
only stayed for a brief over-night before moving to another hotel near the Taipei train station. I heard about Meridien for a long time, just had to check it out myself. My room is a bit small, significant wear and tear on the closet doors, some moldy sink edges, chocolate pineapple desert not so great (I expect a bit better for 4.5-Star $$$ hotel; however, nice turn-down service, comfortable bed, nice AC, beautiful swimming pool, and friendly staffs. Not had a chance to try their highly rated buffet & restaurant. I might come back for 2nd-time and stay longer to get the full experience.

HUMAN TOENAILS
I check out of W Taipei and check In to Le Meridian Taipei on the 9th of November, both hotel claim to be 4.5-5 stars, room rates and location are similar, but the service was tereible at Le Meridian. My family checked into Le Meridian with a very UNFRIENDLY front desk staff. I paid extra to upgrade to Business suite in both hotels. I compare rooms with W Taipei, Le Meridian has plain room decorations, smaller living size and garden view vs W Taipei offers a direct Taipei 101 view. These hotel are not comparable to each other. While waiting for the room to be ready, my family decided to go to lunch on the 2nd floor chinese cuisine, just as I almost finished my lunch , a large piece of HUMAN TOENAILS was in my bow of rice, I immediately feel like to throw up, I made a complaint to the waitress, she replied that the Kitchen staff will make improvements, non of the management level personal come to comfort my family and apologized, nothing was compensated or offer, very disappointed with Le Meridians. I did not feel that Le Meridian Taipei is worth the money I spend.

*Pleasant surprise to see the Taipei 101 view upon checking into rooms. *Room was comfortable - bed was of good size for us 2adults and 2 young children. *daily top up of bottled water etc. *Request for cake to celebrate birthdays was answered. *Security was increased after complaint. *Close proximity to Eslite bookstore, 新光三越， Taipei101 and Ichiran Ramen. *As the washroom is of open concept, unable to lock doors. Need to step out of bathroom to get dressed. Not enough hooks inside bathroom. *Thankful for the diaper request as we ran out, housekeeping was prompt in service. **Will stay in Le Meridien, Taipei again.** Overall stay experience: 8.5/10
