Great location between three MRT lines. Staff are friendly and helpful. However, the room condition and age of the room was below my expectations. I would not staff at this hotel again even the location is great in Taipei.

Good value hotel in excellent location
Good value for money in a very good location, although the hotel room is looking old and something from 1980-1990 era. Spacious bathroom, can benefit from refurbishment to use the space better and more efficient. The room needs some update and upgrading from the old furnitures and set up. Room is clean and front office staffs are nice. The price per night reflect the amenities and room conditions.

Disgusting condition so I left. The front desk said they would cancel my reservation and never did. They decided to charge me even though I didn’t stay there. STAY AWAY!

Inexpensive Nice Taipei Hotel
Great location for public transportation. Excellent service, friendly staff. Chinese style breakfast was delicious with many dishes which changed each day.

Hope City Nice Hotel
Hope City is close to MRT Stations & local bus lines making it easy to travel within both the City & suburbs. Chinese style breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of dishes, toast, fresh fruit & beverages. Price was inexpensive for the area.

hotel was a bit old and worn. rooms were a bit musty. shower was broken. breakfast was cold and not very appetitizing. wifi didn't work.

A great place to stay
I have a great stay at this hotel and this is my 2nd time staying here. The room is big and beds are comfortable. It's near Da-An mrt and there are a lot of food shops and convenience stalls around the area.

Great hotel with great view
The room is quite comfortable and I can see Taipei 101 from my window so I don't have to go to Taipei 101 to view the fireworks during the countdown which is great. There's nothing much around the hotel vicinity except for a few eating shops and convenience shop. Da An MRT is about 2-3 mins walk which is very convenient. Overall, the hotel is good but there is an error in the map, not sure whether it's provided by hotels.com or by the hotel itself. The location of the hotel is not accurate. It is quite far from ZhongXiaoFuXing MRT..

Overall experience is good. Hotel reception staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is great as it is only about 3mins walk to the nearest train station. Only area of improvement is the condition of the room as some of the furniture and fittings are already old and run down. But you can't expect too much for the price it is offering. Hence, if you are looking for affordable and accessible hotel, this is one you may consider.

Heavy fine policy in smoke free hotel needed --
Pros: The front desk staff was warm and friendly. The location is excellent. The breakfast was good. Cons: the hotel needs a major renovation. They claimed to be a smoke free hotel but has no strict policy to prohibit cigarette smoking. My daughter has a respiratory problem. When we complained about the smoke came from the central air system, the staff just came to spray for us, and it was the same the next day.

Will not use this hotel again
I booked this hotel because it was recommended by a hotels.com rep over the phone when my choice was fully booked. Room is very small. Pull the curtains and see all dusts flying . Wallpapers worn out . And we were told this was a "love hotel" rooms can be rented on hourly basis by lovers . And I was with my 11 year old daughter ! Only thing good about this hotel was service of the staff .

Our arrival @ Taipei International Airport was met with a notice on the luggage carousel - "Masako Kuroda, please contact information counter". I was then told that two items were not found. Had to make report & by the time we checked out of airport it was 2.10am. fortunately, the taxi we prebooked through Expedia, was still waiting for us. Upon arrival @ Hotel, the night-staff was ready with our keys & we were able to get to our rooms with no hassle. When our luggage arrived late (about 6.00pm) that evening the staff helped us with our bags. Our rooms were cleaned and toiletries replenished daily. (In some hotels, toiletries were often not replenished - even though we pay the same rate every day!). The bathroom comes with a jacuzzi. great way to relax after a long day out. Location is great. Just 5 minutes walk away from train station (on the same side of hotel at that!

A love hotel?
I booked this hotel via phone through hotels.com for lack of time because the hotel I wanted in the area was fully booked this was suggested by the operator . Big mistake ! The room left like a ship's cabin small tight , the bathroom was strangely large so we put the luggage in there. We opened the curtains to let light in , all dusts flew ! My daughter didn't want to go over the blanket at first she was scared of the hotel but we had no choice 5 nights has been booked . Later my Taiwanese friend would tell me her staff informed her it was a "love hotel" I asked what that was , where lovers stay , rooms can we bought for hours use for pleasure . I was horrified ! The only thing good with this experience was all staff were nice and helpful! Will not use this hotel again , even for a bargain price !

Great place to stay for business or pleasure!
My husband came to Taipei to attend Computex and I decided to tag along and play tourist. Hope City Fushing was perfectly located for both of us. It's very close to the Da'an MRT (subway) station, which can get you pretty much anywhere you want to be in Taipei. There are a few convenience stores and small street restaurants nearby, but like I said before, anything else you want is just a hop on the MRT away. The staff was very courteous and knew enough English to help us with our needs. :) The breakfast was an interesting mix of East and West; we enjoyed trying all of the new foods each day. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It's great that they provide free bottled water each day and an electric teapot in your room since you can't drink the water in Taiwan. Mostly Chinese channels on TV, but there were a few American movie channels. (Who goes to Taiwan to watch TV anyway?) We also liked free wi-fi in our room. My only complaint is that they only give one key for each room, which I thought was a little odd. (But that might be the standard in Taiwan; I don't know.) Overall, if I'm ever lucky enough to go back to Taipei I would definitely stay there again!

The hotel is nice & simple, the staff was very friendly and supportive of any issues. Room was clean but very dated (Old). While the Internet was included, the requirement to log in every time was inconvenient to say the least. Location was ok and was a short walk to the Metro Stations. Morning Breakfast was very boring and nothing to speak of - Scrambled Eggs were always cold. The major issue for me was the cost - was extremely high in comparison to other hotels in the area of the same type.

Good location and friendly staff but old
It is a boutique hotel with friendly staff. I was traveling with a 6 month son. When I informed the hotel about it they had arranged for a small tub for my son to bath in. This is very thoughtful to make sure arrangement. This is an old hotel and it's facilities are a little old. We had a big bathroom with jacuzzi bath tub. However there is no shower curtain. The floor gets wet after every shower. It cause the floor to be very slippery. I mearly fell down a couple of time.

Wi Fi is not free as advertised and NTD$250 for 2 days. ( only two devices can be used) Two ladies of front desk were great to help us to get a taxi for us during raining day. They were the best experience for us to this hotel.

The address and phone number on hotels.com is incorrect. I was searching for this hotel for an hour. Other than that, everything else was fine.
