We arrived early, but the bell boys took our luggage and put the aside until we could check in. When we got to our room, our luggages were already in the room. Every staff member greeted us warmly each time they saw us, and we consistently felt respected, valued, and genuinely welcomed throughout our stay. Their attentiveness and professionalism made a lasting impression. The room was spacious and very comfortable, with a fairly roomy layout that allowed us to relax without feeling cramped. The bed was equally generous in size and extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. One of the most convenient aspects of this hotel is its location — having a shopping mall directly downstairs made everything incredibly accessible, from dining options to last-minute shopping. We requested a refund from the Hotel thru Expedia. The Grand Bay View refused our request stating our hotel reservation was non refundable. We explained to them that our situation was out of our control as the UK government site advised against all but essential travel to the UAE and your travel insurance could be invalidated if you travel against advice. We have applied to 2 other hotels that we would have been staying at during our trip to Hong Kong, Both hotels have fully refunded our money back in full!! (these were non refundable too!) This just shows, in adversity certain people or establishment step up to the mark whilst others don’t!
