You can even drive your car along the dirt road in the summers to access the famous Tahoe Rim Trail and hike to Watson Peak! This same trailhead also offers access to a paved bike path that can take you to Tahoe City and beyond. In the winter months, the bike path is well maintained for 3 miles, allowing you to easily snowshoe or XC ski out and back through the woods. The location of the home places you near some of the best skiing in the area, with Palisades Tahoe 18 minutes away and Northstar Ski Resort only 20 minutes away. If Nordic skiing is more your style, you are just 5 minutes from the Tahoe City Nordic XC Center. For those looking for a little less outdoor adventure, the beautiful town of Tahoe City is only 8 minutes away, where you will find large grocery stores, boutique shops, a wide variety of bars and restaurants, a movie theater, and in the summer, a farmer’s market and live music. Down the road in the other direction brings you to Agate Bay, where you will find the famous Gar Woods Grill and Pier as well as Watermans Landing, where you can rent a wide variety of watercraft. Getting Around: The home is within a 15-minute walk to the nearest public transportation stop on Tahoe's public transportation system called TART. This stop is on the Mainline and is stop HWY 28 at Old County RD, which runs every hour and stops along the entire western shore of Lake Tahoe from Tahoma to the north shore at Incline Village. Alternatively, take advantage of the home's close driving proximity to Tahoe City and make the quick 8-minute drive where you can use the FREE park and ride to reach locations such as Olympic Park and Northstar California Resort. The home’s great location places you within quick access to the main highway so you can enjoy the many beautiful surrounding areas within a 25-minute drive or less!
