Very Rude Morning Manager

Posted 06-Oct-2016
Pros: Price. Remodeled. Location.
Cons: Morning female manager. Couldn't give me an answer on my late check-out request upon me checking in(could of determined where I chose to stay).
Location: Freeways. Fast food. Dining. Casinos. Shopping.
Requested late check-out. At check-in, I inquired about late check-out request. Male staff was polite and said I would need to check with morning staff. Bought WI-fi from night staff. Inquired about late check-out. Informed same info. After my morning meeting back at motel, I called front desk. Male staff said my late check-out was fine. 11AM, housekeeping knocks on door. I inform her that I was cleared for late check-out @ 12:30PM. 12:25PM, housekeeping and morning female manager knocks on door loud. I open door and all my bags are on the bed closest to door, garbage is picked up, towels in one pile, tv off, and the used small bars of soap are disposed in garbage. Easy clean up for housekeeping. This is the way I leave motel/hotel rooms to insure I have all my belongings. Manager rudely says, "Check-out is 11! Do you want to pay for another day!(not asking)" I'm surprised/confused, "You guys said my late check-out was ok. I called this morning after I got back from my meeting." "Who said it was ok?" "The front desk guy I talked to this morning when I called down there." She muttered/mumbled a combination of "SMH" and "Oh" together. I already double checked the room and was on the way out when they knocked, so I carefully grabbed my belongings and started to load my vehicle. Manager opens curtains and touched a couple things and walked out. They both walked away without no apologies. I have never been talked to in such a tone like I was a child.

Roach hotel, street walkers & unclean, beware!

Posted 08-Sep-2016
Pros: Cost was ok, prepaying in Canadian helped and made the paperwork smooth on check in
Cons: Cleanliness!!
Location: Close to a shopping plaza with an assortment of foods to pick from, Jack in the box and IHOP close by and an easy drive to the Tacoma Mall.
First room we were offered has black hair on the sheets and towels, the sink didn't drain and the room smelt of urine covered up by a cleaner. I complained and was issued the room right next door! Same issue with hair on the towels, not on the bed this time and the room smelt of stale smoke. The chambermaids should wear a darn hair net! A cockroach was later found in the room and crushed. This was mentioned the next day to the lady cleaning the room that this needs to be cleaned. The roach was there when we returned later that evening. Very loud air conditioner, smelly room like someone smoked in it. Don't recommend this for familys as street workers were present over by the Jack in the Box. Probably not appropriate for children to see while eating breakfast in the IHOP. The floors in this room were never cleaned. I wore white socks and they daily were black from walking around in this room. The floors were laminate but never washed. The door lock/hinge was all damaged like someone kicked the door in and was never repaired. Can clearly see daylight under the door, you will head the I5 traffic all of the time.

Rough clientele

Posted 05-Sep-2016
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Everything.
AVOID. Unless you like hearing people yelling and repeatedly using the N word in the middle of the night, or people walking by your door and talking as if no one should be asleep, or revving car engines, then this is a place you should avoid. The room had a bad initial smell, but it wasn't horrible.

Motel 6 might be better than you think

Posted 31-Aug-2016
This stay was more pleasant than expected. Last minute decision to stay in Tacoma led me to one of the least expensive choices on Expedia. Quite frankly, I didn't expect much from the Motel 6 brand. But this little hotel surprised me from the moment I checked in. Front counter guy was very friendly. Hotel is old but room was updated. Overall is a great value.

Never again

Posted 23-Aug-2016
The guy at the counter was the rudest person I have ever come across! As I was standing to the side while waiting for him to finish with the person in front of me- I didnt realize I was standing in front of the access door to behind the counter. The guy very rudely told me to move because I didnt know the people who came in after me worked there. (They never asked us to move) Then he did nothing but complain to the other employees that there was "a constant stream of people coming in since 1pm", "its too much for one person when there is supposed to be two and its only minimum wage" and "I f***ing hate my job" were things I heard come out of his mouth while standing there waiting for him to finish with the person in front of me. Then when I came back to the office because I couldnt get the room door open, the guy very snottily asked me "is there something wrong with the room?" I told him I couldnt get the door open. Then he proceeded to that I was trying to open the door wrong and that "you are supposed to pull the handle up!!" Um... All the other hotels I have stayed at- you pushed the handle down once you use the keycard to get the light to change green..... The room absolutly stunk!! I reserved a non smoking room. The best way to describe it was- someone either smoked in the room or all the linens on the bed were from a smoking room and housekeeping sprayed a can of air freshener in the room! I will NEVER AGAIN stay at a Motel 6!

Smelly, dirty, and scary hotel with lazy staff.

Posted 10-Aug-2016
Pros: Absolutely nothing!
Cons: Management.
Location: Wild Waves was amazing and the whole family had a blast.
Upon arrival we were told that there was a booking error and that they didn't have any nonsmoking rooms available for us so we were forced to sleep in a very smelly room that literally made my daughter cry and gave me a migraine. Not only was the fan broken in our windowless room, but half of our lights wouldn't turn on either. During our stay I found a dead bug rolled up into one of our 'clean' towels, a dead spider dangling above our bed, and a pubic hair on the toilet, one on the shower wall and another one on the door. My last concern is the tenants they have living at the hotel, they were loud, violent, shady characters that were wandering around the whole night. I'm not sure what kind of show they are running there but the experience was horrid enough that I am done traveling for the summer and will think twice before my next stay anywhere.

Horrible customer service.

Posted 09-Aug-2016
I called to ask if we left something behind and I was hung up on repeatedly and so I asked for a manager and I was told that there was no managers on duty. I know they could be upset with my room as I cleaned as much as I could before we left for room service.
