Close to the convention center. Easy parking.

I happened to be in Tacoma on a sunny day so the view from my room was great. The gift shop person and I had a pleasant discussion about local artists that supply jewelry to the shop.

Nice hotel but not so nice service

Valet ignored us for twenty minutes while they parked vacant cars. Had to self park and walk a distance with staircases carrying luggage. Breakfast was fine but room has 2 tables in it. That is insufficient seating to sit and eat. Associate came up elevator when we were leaving and got out with her coffee cart and let the elevator close and leave behind her when we had been standing there waiting. Rude! Associate at check in was nice but did not offer to get us a valet. Room service after hours menu was insufficient. Would not stay here again. Have stayed recently at Best Western and La Quinta and both had way better service. Disappointing!

Check-in was seamless. The hotel itself is a piece of art and very modern. Our room was clean, and the view was nice. We would definitely stay there again AND recommend Hotel Murano to friends and family.

Nice weekend getaway for my birthday

Checked in pretty late on a Friday night, the front desk had some technical difficulties that honestly didn't bother me but I received a $30 voucher for use at the restaurant or bar for being so patient anyway. Unfortunately didn't get to use it because the hotel is within walking distance to lots of bars and restaurants and we stayed pretty busy with those. Would love to come back and check out more of the amenities! Super nice hotel with a great view. Would definitely love to stay again.

Boutique Blunders

In its effort to be hip and boutique-y, Hotel Murano cuts corners on the basics that make a room comfortable. The room lighting is absolutely awful-- so dim you can barely see at night. I had maintenance put in new bulbs and that helped, but still not great. (Also learned that many other guests share this criticism). Raised bathroom lav/sink pretty, but water splashes all over the place, and things fall of the glass shelf above the sink because it's not flush to the wall. The comped breakfast I got was totally underwhelming. One receptionist at the desk was superb, but one young bellhop was rude when giving me directions; attitude. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

Excellent Wedding Night Accommodations

Made reservations about 1.5 months in advance of our wedding and was able to book a King Junior Suite. Room was spacious, comfortable, and had sweeping views. Staff was very helpful and place champagne, flowers, etc. in the room - really helped make the night.

Has potential but very worn.

Pros: Majority of the staff was friendly. Just not very helpful. The bed was comfy enough. Bite (on site restaurant) had good food and service.
Cons: The entire hotel is ready for a remodel.
Location: Close to the Tacoma Dome and Point Defiance Zoo.
We had an event at this hotel and if it wasn't for that, we would have switched hotels. I had requested a microwave the week before and agreed to the minimal fee. When we arrived, they didn't have one available. We had a jr. suite which was spacious but the bathroom was very small. Our room was very worn and the tub/shower was dirty with a lot of hair in it. Thankfully, I travel with cleaning wipes. There were also dark curly hairs on the tray the coffee maker set on.
