It was not made clear that this property was undergoing major renovations until AFTER I paid for a non refundable room. The hotel was filthy and the room had damaged doors, dirty carpeting and threadbare sheets. Booking through Expedia made it impossible to fix the reservation issue. I will always book directly with any hotels in the future. I am disappointed in Expedia and IHG.

GREAT HOTEL! There were signs saying please pardon our renovations and excuse the renovation noise. We were not inconvenienced by either! Super friendly front desk staff. The building/rooms were super clean and updated. The Breakfast buffet was very good! The next time I am in Tacoma I will book the Holiday Inn Express again!

It was a nice hotel, but they were doing remodeling of the 4th and 5th floors. Noisy during the day.

Recommendations do not paid parking within the hotel is $50. 00 per day stead park out side is free and plenty of parking. The hotel is going true remodeling so is a lot of construction 🚧 noise. Other then that is clean and nice.

I'm looking into why our Renovation notice is no longer active for Expedia, Thank you for bringing it to our attention. I apologize construction noise was a problem they should not start that early and I will address it with our crew. Property was clean and quiet did the job. It’s under construction so there is some inconveniences but nothing to horrible. The night clerk seemed to be on the phone and was annoyed that I interrupted her to ask about a place to eat. The hair dryer in the room sounded d like a rock crusher when started, got hot and smelled bad and did nothing but smell bad and was very loud. It should be replaced it’s actually a fire hazard

Dont trust Expedia with certain amenities. We specifically chose this Hotel because of a pool and continental breakfast. They no longer have a pool. Really put a drag on our plans with our kids. Ive learned I need to call and verify moving forward. Hotel and staff were great otherwise.

The hotel was under a major renovation at the time of our stay, which we were unaware of. After the first night we had to change rooms due to hammering and drilling noise. But all the staff were very nice, helpful and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was above average. The location is fantastic for tourists who might want to visit the major attractions; walking distance for many. And there are a few restaurants, pubs right in the area, also walking distance. When the renovation is completed, I’m certain it will warrant a much higher rating.

On their website it read indoor pool. My grandkids were very excited but when we checked in I was told the pool was closed and it has been closed for quite awhile. If I knew before I would have stayed somewhere where else. This is clearly false advertising. Secondly, the beds were extremely uncomfortable. You actually sunk in them. I am 76 and have arthritis so my sleep was off and on and woke up with soreness and back pain. We, all also had to have our key cards rekeyed. The night clerk said, it could demagnetize, I know she missed keyed them. She didn’t even say she was sorry. The room was clean. Shower had good pressure. The breakfasts were very good. I believe I should be compensated for the false advertisement.
