Good place to stop. Good breakfast included.

Location: N'avons passé qu'une nuit en route vers l'Orégon. Avons soupé chez Uncle Buck's qui était acceptable sans plus.
In an area where there is not much in terms of restaurants that you can walk to. Clean and quiet, with a buffet breakfast with lots of choice.

very nice hotel

Pros: Loved the buffet breakfast and the staff who were so helpful and overly accommodating.
Cons: It was a little pricey for being outside of Seattle.
Location: It was in a good location, by Interstate 5, close to the Mall, Museum and food sources, and the Harbor.
We had a wonderful time and loved our room and hotel, especially loved the buffet breakfast. The staff were incredible!

Good clean hotel for quick overnight stay.

Fast checkin with very friendly staff. This hotel is largely used by business men and travelers. It is also close to Chambers Bay golf course.

It was an acceptable stay. The rooms were not amazing but not bad either. The parking is terrible. My boyfriend and I ended up having to park on the street because they could not accomodate all of their guest.

Hampton Inn Tacoma

The hotel was fine except although I had paid in full through Expedia, the hotel still held an amount in my checking account equal to the entire fee for a week before releasing it. I was aware that they would add and "incidental" fee which was supposed to be approximately $50.00, but instead they held an amount equal to the full cost of our stay for no reason that they could or would explain.

Place is very clean and felt safe

Posted 10-Feb-2016
Pros: cleanliness and friendliness of staff
Cons: Pool area: smells of strong chlorine and environment was not very comfortable
Location: Visited casino at Emerald Queen, seen a concert at Tacoma Dome
Clean, comfortable room, comfortable bed, good customer service. Tami at front desk was very friendly. Lobby is set up nicely and provide nice breakfast (eggs, potatoes, sausage, waffles). The woman in charge of breakfast room was super nice and hospitable. Available in lobby: 24 hour coffee, hot chocolate, tea and sometimes cookies too. Pool room could use better ventilation and chlorine odor was pretty strong. Pool area could use some decor and low background music.

We WILL definitely stay here again!

It was evident that this is a well managed hotel. Everything was very clean and worked. The included breakfast was actually a real breakfast with quite a variety of items- no need to go to a restaurant. Make your own french waffles so they are piping hot! I had mine with berries (thawed from frozen- much better than sticky-sweet jam type) and real whipped cream (canned, much better than the plastic-tasting non-dairy "whipped topping"). I topped that off with some walnuts= yum-yum! There was several other items also- eggs, sausage, oatmeal with various toppings, cereal, pastries, juices, coffee, good fresh fruit, etc. The beds were comfortable, room clean, they baked fresh cookies in the evening, plenty of parking. Convenient to Bass Pro Shop & other shops, Tacoma Mall, restaurants such as Olive Garden, etc. Friendly, attentive staff. What more do you need in a hotel?
