Nice hotel, good price.

Posted 19-Oct-2017
Pros: Very nice staff. Clean. Very comfortable room. Great value.
Cons: The location can't be changed, so nothing.
Location: That area is a bit sketchy but overall not bad. Close proximity to the freeway and lots of food places to choose from.
I stayed there twice last week and have nothing but good things to say about both stays.

Comfortable stay

Posted 18-Oct-2017
Pros: Property was well cared for and the staff was friendly and professional
Location: This location is on the east side of I-5, just south of Bass Pro Shop. Tacoma Mall is nearby on the west side of I-5.
This was our first stay at this location, and we were there to visit family who moved to the area. We found the hotel to be clean and comfortable overall. The check in was quick and friendly. Our 4th room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. The mattress wasn't the best, but not terrible either. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety of items, as well as an attendant that kept things stocked and the area clean. The parking lot is gated, and seemed secure. At check in, they gave us a parking pass to place on the window of the car. Parking lot was fairly well lit and security cameras were visible. The only down side is that I booked this thru Expedia, so I was not able to get points for this stay. I will have to compare the cost savings vs the value of points to determine if I book direct for my next stay with Hampton Inn.

Nice hotel close enough to downtown Tacoma.

Pros: Comfortable room and friendly staff.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable. Even though it was close to the freeway, it was quiet enough to sleep.

We were visiting Pacific Lutheran University. This hotel was easy to get to via I5, clean, secure, and only minutes away from the college.

Great place to stay, as usual for Hampton Inns

Posted 27-Sep-2017
Cons: Although very well maintained, the property is getting just a little long in the tooth, and could use a freshening up.
Long drive from Bay Area to attend a memorial service. It was a great place for us weary travelers to rest. Very clean rooms and accommodating staff, which is usual for Hampton Inns - which is why we chose it. This Hampton was especially quiet, too. We slept well!

Close to the Interstate. Large rooms.

Posted 24-Sep-2017
Pros: Clean facility, secure parking lot, nice continental breakfast and coffee, large rooms.
Cons: Need vending machines.
Location: Conveniently located right next to the Interstate, several restaurants and Bass Pro Shops.
Needed a hotel while attending a wedding in Tacoma. This Hampton worked out really well. Very clean facility. It took me a minute to figure out the elevator though. You have to swipe your room card to activate the elevator. Never seen that before, but its a nice security feature. Rooms were huge, very spacious and comfortable. You could hold a private event in these rooms. Bathrooms were clean. If you like Bass Pro Shops, there's one right next door, as is an Ihop and few other places to eat. Only downside was I couldn't find any vending machines on any floors. I wanted a Dr. Pepper but had to go down to the front desk for one.

Close to everything

Posted 06-Sep-2017
Pros: Clean
Cons: Breakfast could have a little more variety (meats), but wasn't bad.
Location: Close to the highway and shopping, with plenty of restaurants nearby.
Nice hotel in a busy shopping area, found it easy to access. The cookies were delicious.

Was very pleased with the security this hotel offered. I had spent the precious week at another hotel that was very nice looking and clean inside however the view from my window was a concern. One evening actually watched someone shoot us with what appeared to be drugs. When reported we was told nothing they could do. The next day I witnessed a man with his pants down uriinating on a wall facing my window. Just didn't get the comforting feeling of security that I did at this hotel.

Close to family and very nice

Posted 13-Jul-2017
Very comfortable beds, clean rooms, nice atmosphere, nice breakfast. Staff was very helpful. We stayed about a week. Loved the cookies and milk as an evening snack. Only negative....the indoor pool room was too hot...felt like a sauna. Windows couldn't open enough to cool it off.
