One Night Stray

Posted 14-Nov-2016
Pros: Comfortable and friendly
Cons: Coffee units in the room.
Location: Close to Tacoma Dome but restaurants or food service except for a gas station.
The staff was very helpful and the room was spacious and clean. Good Wi-Fi as well. Not many amenities nearby such as restaurants and hotel has a very limited breakfast service. Good access to I-5. Have to ask for a coffee pot or dishes etc. for the room.

Good for working men and women, Not for family

Posted 10-Oct-2016
We had an okay visit. Stayed one night. I checked the bed for bed bugs and general cleanliness. Did not find any bed bugs, however, there was a lot of hair, various types of hair that had been embedding into the mattress covers and at random in the bathroom and on the floor, and even found some in the sheets. This place is located in what appeared to be a very industrial area. We drove in when it was dark, perhaps arriving in the day could have made the first impression better? It wasn't horrible but it wasn't great either. It was myself and my 5 year old son. It met our basic needs, but seems more suitable for a different population, not a family of two on vacation. On a POSTIVE note; Olivia, the lady in the lobby, was extremely nice and welcoming. She also provided, BY FAR, the best cup of coffee, I had from all of my evenings in hotels (span of a week long vacation: Red Lion and Great Wolf Lodge). Special thanks to Olivia! Lastly, the price was fair and I could see the benefits for those individuals/parties who may need to stay in the area for an "extended stay." (maybe business trips)

Pros: No one here
Cons: No cancellation with funds returned.
Location: Gambling, eating, and plenty of prostitute's.
It's ok and we were lucky because it was empty. The staff were not much help, gave no receipt and did not know our total balance due.

Thank you, Chad, for your recent review of your stay in Fife. I am glad that your stay was comfortable, however I do see that we did not stand out as a truly outstanding experience. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to provide you with a better stay the next time you're in the area.

Checked me out a day early without notice and sold out so I had to pack up and find another hotel before work.

Easy to reach, friendly staff!

Posted 01-Sep-2016
Pros: Staff were friendly. Refrigerator and kitchenette were a nice touch.
Cons: One room turn-down every other day would be nice. New towels at the very least?
Location: Local eateries, bars, distilleries, and stores were only a few miles away. The immediate area was a little worn/haggard looking. Couple crack heads.
Where to start... check-in took over an hour because we got in a few minutes too late (12:05 AM to be precise). Our rooms were clean upon check-in, with no visible signs of bed bugs or cockroaches, etc. We were immediately pleasantly surprised by the full sized refrigerators and mini kitchenettes in each room. The beds were decent, and the room only had a faint, damp smell of "recently vacated budget hotel room." However, there were two major detracting factors. First, the room was never turned down, cleaned, or refreshed in the four nights and five days we were there. Secondly, and this may really be a positive or negative depending on your personal er, preferences... was the prostitutes hanging around the hotel in the parking lot and upstair hallways. Just one or two at a time, but totally obvious. We saw the same young-ish gal come and go from four different rooms at various times in the day or night over our four night stay, armed only with a clutch and different outfits. The four big semi truck cabs parked out front told me this is probably a common rendezvous point for lonely truckers. This is obviously a subjective assumption and in no way a reflection on the hotel management or staff. Families be warned though; you may have to explain some things to your young children.

If you want just a simple hotel for the night it's okay. Cleanliness was one of my issues, first room smell of fish, but they did give us another room. Carpet very worn. Place needs an upgrade for what they charge. Just average overall, but in a good location.

Gross

This place was horrid. There was blood on the elevator wall, stains on the carpet, echoing in the halls, and it smelled of mold and smoke.

Pretty sad property. Bedding smelled of cigarette smoke. Free breakfast was pathetic, consisting of coffee and one pathetic packaged muffin like thing. Not even a banana! Absolutely nothing in kitchenette, not even a drinking glass, although there is a sign clarifying that items are available upon request. Desk staff pleasant.
