Booking Extended Stay America - A Nightmare
I arrived at the hotel at around 8:00 pm using UBER from Tacoma Convention Center which is around 2.8 miles. When I approached the front desk to check in, they said that I don't have any reservation. Luckily I printed a hard-copy of my confirmation from Expedia and gave this to the lady. Then later she said that there's no more room available since I was 'late'. I told her what do you mean late. It's only 8:00 pm and according to the confirmation from Expedia that my room is reserved until 12:00 am and can be extended if I call if ever I'm arriving later than 12:00 am. Then she gave me an alibi that the reason that there was no more room available is because 1 of the rooms has a plumbing problem and therefore cannot be rented out. After more than an hour she finally was able to find me another Extended Stay hotel where they still have a room. This is located in Kent, WA which is around 20 miles away from the Robotics competition at the Tacoma Convention that I will be attending that starts at 7:00 am. I then asked the receptionist if they will cover my transportation (UBER) going to the place. She said she can't do that. I asked her to ask her manager, which she did but still she that they can't do that. To cut the story short, I called UBER and paid for it. When I reached the Kent location, I learned that I was only getting a single queen bed for me and my son. I told them that maybe they can give me a King bed or the one that I reserved w/c is 2 queen but they said no. Then
