It's ok.

Posted 15-Aug-2016
Pros: reasonable price with breakfast.
Cons: cleanliness of the hotel. the stairway is very dirty even with cigarette butts. there should be no smoking by the stairway bec. people are passing by.
Location: very accessible to the shopping center and restaurants.
the staff are nice. but one lady staff was smoking outside while on morning duty at the front desk.

Noisy dog in next room which wasn't supposed to have a pet, but the desk person changed me to another immediately. This room had a brand new broken TV which she immediately replaced. She was great, it wasn't her fault. The facility sucked.

Day's Inn - Federal Way

Posted 09-Aug-2016
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: The refrigerator was not cold enough - I bought some popsicles and they all turned mushy.
Location: There's a huge strip mall about 2 miles north of the motel.
The motel was OK. The price was modest. You get what you pay for. My main complaint was the clientele. Children were allowed to run back and forth in front of the entryways well into the evening - yelling and screaming as they did so. Loud rap music was commonplace. One person stood on his deck playing his music full blast and another played his thumping music in his car right in front of my room till I complained. Would I stay there again? No.

The carpet was stained and very dirty. The ice maker didn't work. We had to buy ice. The parking spots are very small and limited. We have a large truck and it was difficult to park. There was left over frozen food in the mini fridge that had melted and re-froze.

Great for the derelict hotel room experience.

Posted 06-Aug-2016
If you are wanting a renovation nightmare experience then this may be your dream getaway. Delight as you get locked in the washroom because the framing has loosened from the door. Play guess how many flushes before you can leave the washroom. Delight as you wake up at 2am to realize you have to use the office facilities because you don't want to play another round with the toilet. Staff are friendly and offer you a plunger, like a prize, now you have an exciting advantage in your room. Relive your adventure at home, get paint samples to match the vibrant mold colors. Live a little by not having the option to lock your doors, and escape with no lighting down a dark corridor. Remind yourself of basement suite life in the 80's orange hue, don't worry about WiFi - it won't work here - giving you that pre Nervana experience. Why have made beds when you arrive back after touring the city? Relive your teenage years. Stickers of clothing sizes adorn the walls, like gum wall, but for clothing stickers. Delightful. This year make Halloween a treat for someone special, something they wont soon forget.

Did not Exceed Expectations

Posted 05-Aug-2016
Pros: Location had easy access to freeway and transportation. Was close to the location we were visiting.
Cons: More attention to details. (Correct number of towels etc.) Respond to customer requests. Property maintenance could be stepped up.
Location: Very close to I5 freeway entrance. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby.
My expectations were fairly low for the place and so I was not terribly disappointed, however, there are certainly areas that they can improve. The exterior of the property had litter and was a bit run down. The room was adequate and relatively clean. The exterior door for the room was not hung properly, there was a large gap on the knob side of the jam that allowed significant daylight through. (Was probably a quarter inch gap) Carpeting was very warn with many stains, did not seem to be clean. (No bare feet here.) TV remote did not work initially. Mentioned that after first night to front desk clerk, said they would take care of it, still was not fixed that evening. (Checked online for programming codes and fixed it myself.) Breakfast was adequate. Their were two bath towels, hand towels and washcloths the first night after which our washcloths and one hand towel disappeared.

Decent hotel for the money; above-average breakfas

Posted 04-Aug-2016
This is a decent hotel for the money. The complimentary breakfast is above average for its class - it includes waffles, ceral, fruit juices, and toast. The room is what one would expect - it is clean and the water is not. There are some spots ont he carpet, and the hallway walls are in some disrepair.

Need work

Posted 01-Aug-2016
Pros: The location was good and price was acceptable.
The room needs some work. The bathroom door jam was broken and every time you wanted to shut the door you had to lift up on the door. The airconditioner was basically only a fan. No cold air was coming out, which made for very uncomfortable sleeping. When we arrived the toilet seat had some kind of liquid all over it, not sure what it was. There was also hair on the toilet seat. Staff were pleasant, but rooms need maintenance. The entrance to the hotel is difficult to get in and out of because of the street dividers. Guest should be made aware of this in advance. Had to do a lot of circling around to be able to enter the hotel from the right direction.

Hotel is outdated and smells horrible

Posted 01-Aug-2016
First room smelled of stale cigarettes and was supposed to be non smoking. They did change the room for us. Other occupants would stand outside our air conditioner and smoke causing the smell to come into our room
