Location is great for events at the Tacoma Dome. The restaurant/lounge had the WORST service!

Nice Place to Stay Near the Dome and Downtown

Posted 25-Aug-2016
Pros: Clean and friendly staff, comfortable beds, good breakfast.
Cons: See my comments above about the height of the toilet seats. Very hard for a person with knee issues.
Location: Right next to the Tacoma Dome and you could walk to the Lemay Car Museum, which is fantastic. Right near Freighthouse Square. Quick ride to downtown
This is a nice, clean hotel, right next to the Tacoma Dome. It is on a quiet street, so no traffic noise. The room was clean. However, two criticisms about the bathroom: 1)no vent in it that I could find, so it steams up immediately from the shower, 2) the toilets must have been installed with children in mind. Didn't see a single child while we were there (2 nights) however. Not even close to standard height, and for guests with disabilities or mobility issues, they're a nightmare. We called the front desk in the evening to inquire if there might be a toilet seat riser and they had no idea. Said housekeeping might have one, but they were gone for the day. The breakfast was excellent, with omelettes or eggs made to order and lots of choices of breakfast items.

Great location.

Pros: Location, clean room, pleasant staff, free covered parking.
Cons: The shower pressure was quite weak.
Quick one night trip to be close to The Tacoma Dome for The Color Run. Room was nice and clean.

My only complaint is that location isn't ideal for a guest w/o car, unless planning to use Uber (which I did). I was told before visiting that it was "across the street" from the Tacoma Dome station, actually several blocks uphill--not so easy with luggage!

Not a great location, not a great hotel

Posted 22-Aug-2016
Pros: People were nice, staff was friendly.
Cons: Remodel, upgrade, aerate the rooms and hallway.
Location: Not a great location, but we had business very close by.
Old building, with a lot of deferred maintenance. Room smelled, hallway smelled. Really paled by comparison to the Best Western Wesley in Gig Harbor which is only 12 miles away and where we'd stayed just 2 nights earlier. I wouldn't go back to this hotel.

Decent but priced high

Decent hotel, clean, outdated. Staff was very friendly & helpful. My AC wasn't working and asked for a portable fan; they brought it right up. Breakfast was awesome, complete with omlet bar and all.
