Decent hotel but I won't be back ...
I travel to the area for business fairly regularly and was looking to find a new hotel to frequent. This hotel is relatively close to our Tacoma office so I figured I'd give it a try. I had a pleasant stay. The grounds are pretty secluded from the surrounding industrial area and the interior of the property is well kept. My room was clean and comfortable. However, due to the actions of management present on the day of my check-in I will not be returning to this hotel. To sum it up, I booked my room last minute at about 7:45 PM on a Tuesday evening with the intention of checking in Wednesday afternoon and checking out Thursday morning. Somehow in my haste to book my room I inadvertently booked my stay to check in Tuesday and check out Wednesday. This was all discovered when I tried to check in on Wednesday. I was in contact with Expedia right away and explained the whole thing sitting in the hotel lobby. It seemed like a pretty straight forward situation. It was clearly a simple mistake and they had rooms available for Wedneday evening. It seemed reasonable to ask that the hotel procees a refund and re-booked my room but that is not what occured. Despite the fact that I was physically present in the hotel lobby AND booked my room at 7:45 PM the day I was supposed to check in, the manger who took Expedia's call held firm on the fact that I was a no-show and would not grant authorization for Expedia to process a refund.
