4 Mature Welsh Rugby Supporters.
We were 4 mature Welsh Rugby supporters staying for 3 nights in Parma for the rugby match. We checked in late, at 9.00pm, the reception person was very helpful in sorting the check-in and telling us where the best places for meals in the city centre. Nothing was a bother the whole stay. The room was spotless and very clean and spacious. The continental breakfast was very good with everything you need. You can have unlimited amount of drinks and food. Will definitely stay here again.

The AC was turned off for the season too early and the room was hot and we were bothered by the noise and mosquitoes from the open window we were forced to leave open.

Untrained staff in restaurant!
The hotel was ok -however the restaurant was NOTHING to complement about! Staff appeared to be inexperienced not trained properly- wait was too long for ordering cocktails and getting them after our meal was served!

Return to the past in a beautiful hotel
This is one of the old fashioned hotels which are well preserved until today. The furniture, decoration, floor are very nice and makes you feel like you are in the 60's. The room is clean, the beds are comfortable, the breakfast is excellent. When you park, there is no sign saying that you have to pay for the parking. When we checked out they told us that we have to pay 15 Euro for 1 night parking and we refused because no one told us about that charge in advance so they were honest and did not charge us. This hotel is highly recommended.

Almost 5 stars hotel, check the park's gate hours
Very nice hotel - I liked the design. Good size room, and a very good breakfast. Good service, but the reception is almost always busy - lots of business groups. Almost 5 stars hotel. There is a supermarket in front of the hotel and some restaurants. There is a problem with the location because the short way is through the park, and the gate closes at different hours according to the month of the year, by the municipality. Also, great walk in the park in the daytime, less in the dark.

Good but needs some soul!
I like the Starhotel but my customers do not! They feel the the foyer has no atmosphere and it needs a bar . The front terrace should serve food and drinks also!

Good choice hotel
This is surprisingly fancy hotel. Easy to find by car. Effective air conditioning, comfortable beds with good quality bedlinen. Good breakfast. 15 min walk through the park to the old town. Passage to park not easy to find - ask for the exact instruction. Parking 10€. Taxi back 7€.

Very comfortable stay with wonderful staff
The staff were fantastically helpful.So kind and pleasant. We were allowed to check-in a little earlier and help ourselves to tea and coffee whilst watching the Rugby World Cup early in the morning. Good location for a walk into Parma. Well appointed rooms. Excellent breakfast.The gym was small, but did the job.

My stay at Starhotels Du Parc in Parma, Italy
Lovely hotel, quiet, great breakfast, good service, but no air conditioning. Thank goodness we were able to open the windows. Also, no amenities: no shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion, as in most hotels. No packets of coffee or tea or coffeemaker. However, they did have a refrigerator with water and drinks.
