A luxurious step back in time.
What a special place this is. A step back in time, with modern conveniences! Villa Guilia is absolutely gorgeous! I am so sorry we only stayed here one night. The bed was VERY comfortable and there were extra pillows. Great shower...and a MODERN hairdryer (hard to find in Sicilian hotels). We ate at the restaurant and it was one of the best meals we had on our 2-week trip. The owner could not be nicer! We will definitely return and stay longer.

The hotel is in a very quiet and pleasant spot far away from the bustle. The garden and the "borgo" is extremely well kept, the pool is very nice and large (probably 20m). Breakfast is very rich and varied with lots of local products. You can easily drive to Marzamemi for dinner and to Vendicari natural reserve for a plunge in the sea. Moreover, the position is very good to explore the baroque towns around. We were overall very happy with our choice. The only issue was that the room was a bit humid and with only one window. I would suggest pay a bit more to get a better one.

Great breakfast with lots of homemade products. Beautiful grounds with a huge pool. Owner was lovely but front desk, while not in any way rude, was not as welcoming as other hotels I stayed at in Sicily. Room was very basic - could've had done with a few more special touches to bring it up another level.

Beautiful ancient villa w/plush modern conversion
the villa and rooms had been beautifully converted. The charm of the old buildings with the luxury of a high end modern room. The pool and gardens were stunning and a charm to relax in. The hotel staff were very friendly and the food so fresh and tasty. Fantastic value too!

Swimming pool and garden were lovely shame there were so many young noisy children almost more in number than the adults! The name is quite confusing and made it difficult to find. It should be Village Giulia first in the name also WiFi only worked in reception.

interesting place but not for everyone
We spent one night in villa giulia. it's a nice place , but very isolated. Room was interesting , looks like an old horse farm that was transformed into a room. I personally didn't like it but its special For me one annoying part was that there is bo wifi in the rooms so we found ourselves siting out in the garden to serf and plan the rest of our trip

Very nice, well kept hotel with excellent staff
Our room was very spacious although the bathroom was small. The facilities are authentic and very well maintained. The staff is excellent and very helpful. Located within short drive of Noto, Marzameni, and San Lorenzo beach.

I do beleive that the web site is misleading, it implies that the hotel is close to the "must see" town of Noto when in fact Noto is at least 8 miles away, a car is essential, that is also missing from the information, the nearest beach is at least a 30 minute brisk walk away, the information implies its on the doorstep. Another even bigger surprise was to discover that the hotel is geared towards young German familes with children at Kinder Garden age, for a couple who wanted a quite hotel without children, this was a major shock, all infomation was in either Italian or German including all the collateral within the bedroom, that in itself is fairly insulting, thankfully I have a smattering of both languages however, no thought was given to the only 2 guests from the UK but, the staff were very good and helpful. I am a property manager who has worked within the 5* hotel sector for 30 years and I do know almost every thing there is no know about hotels and in closing I will say that the hotel and location are superb but, some work is required on giving guests more accurate information

A bit off the beaten path, but location within a vineyard and farm couples together with the well preserved, old structures in which the sparsely but adequately furnished rooms are housed. Each of the rooms enters into a central courtyard which leads to the central restaurant ( where dinner and breakfast are served) and large pool adjacent to the vineyard and olive groves. Food is well prepared with an excellent selection local wine and good service.

Pessimo rapporto qualità/prezzo
Peggiore esperienza avuta in Sicilia in 10 giorni di viaggio. N. 1: mia moglie é incinta e con 3 valigie nessuno si era preoccupato a portare la valigia al momento del arrivo. N. 2: ci hanno assegnato una camera e poi indirizzati in una direzione completamente diversa per raggiungerla. N. 3: la prima camera assomigliava ad uno sgabuzzino buio e non corrispondeva minimamente alle foto pubblicizzate. N. 4: il supplemento per poter avere una camera con piu luce ammontava a 30€ a notte. N. 5: nuova camera estremamente rumorosa, si sentiva tutto dalle camere adiacenti. N. 6: connessione wi-fi nella camera terribile se non inesistente N. 7: colazione deludente N. 8: quando abbiamo deciso di andare via un giorno prima del previsto (nonostante la camera era già pagata), al check out ci hanno fatto pagare pure la bottiglietta d'acqua, senza venirci incontro minimamente. N. 9: non ci sembra per nulla un albergo 4 stelle e il rapporto prezzo/qualità é pessimo.

Non c'erano bicchieri in camera, i prodotti da toeletta erano essenziali e non di qualità, le camere abbastanza spaziose, il bagno molto bello. La colazione e il servizio sono i punti di forza della struttura, anche la piscina merita. I gatti presenti educati e molto discreti nel loro avvicinarsi alle persone. Mi ha fatto piacere sapere che sono curati anche se li ho visti magri.

Abbiamo soggiornato per una settimana in questa struttura, scegliendo due camere suite. Quella di noi genitori era veramente ampia e bella, con un grande terrazzo da cui si poteva ammirare una bella vista. L'altra era soppalcata e con un terrazzo più piccolo. Entrambe comode. L'hotel si trova in posizione eccellente per le spiagge più belle vicino a Marzamemi, comprese quelle all'interno della riserva naturale di Vendicari e a quella, attrezzata, di san Lorenzo. C'è una convenzione con lo stabilimento Agua beach, che è il top di gamma, con ombrelloni belli e molto grandi, che danno ombra a ben quattro lettini (il prezzo in agosto non è incluso in quello dell'hotel, ma è molto utile avere il posto assicurato). I proprietari dell'hotel sono molto accoglienti e il punto di vera forza è la colazione sia per la varietà del cibo a disposizione che per il posto in cui si consuma, con tavoli e sedie dai bellissimi decori. La piscina è molto grande. Tutta la struttura è di vera gradevolezza. Siamo riusciti a fare ogni giorno una bellissima escursione in luoghi noti per gli edifici barocchi (Noto, Ibla, Scicli, Ortigia), tutti ad un'oretta di distanza (pur con strade veramente scomodissime). Un soggiorno di grande piacevolezza e da consigliare

Villa Giulia: una splendida struttura in una posizione strategica e comoda per raggiungere con facilità sia le spiagge sia le principali città del barocco siciliano. Vi gick till San Lorenzo stranden varje dag, 2km. Vägen var ganska smal men det var inte så mycket trafik så det gick bra. Stranden var fantastisk med en allmän del och en restaurang med sängar och parasoller. Noto, en mycket vacker stad i närheten är väl värd ett besök. Vi åt några bra middagar på hotellet, men både baren och restaurangen stänger tidigt, före 22.00 vilket var ett minus.
