We stayed at the hotel because we were in Syosset for a funeral. The hotel was convenient to where we needed to be and where we had to travel to. The room was smaller in size than I expected. Even for 2 people, we felt crowded.

Close to sagamore hills which was our destination. Free breakfast helped us get on our way quickly in the am!

Above average hotel for business travel

Posted 12-May-2016
Pros: It was a good standard hotel. Everything worked as it should. This hotel and all the hotels in this area seem expensive for standard hotels. .
Cons: Breakfast could be improved with more hot food choices and fruit.
Location: Immediately next store is a New York Style deli, Village Heros. It is very good and very New York.
I arrived at about 3:30pm. There was ample parking at this time of day, although in the evening the parking got more crowded. There are small parking lots in front, in the back and another lot further behind the hotel. Guests also ended up parking along the street. The hotel has 3 floors. I was on the third floor in room 325 which faced the street. During the day the traffic seemed quite loud. However, in the evening it was quieter and I had no problem sleeping. The room has a large enough desk for working and there were two electric outlets in the base of the desk lamp so I didn't have to search under the desk for an outlet. The wifi worked fine. I was able to hook up my computer, two cell phones, and tablet at the same time. Hot breakfast was just eggs and bacon. There was no fruit except some apples that looked more like display apples than eating apples. There was yogurt, cereal boxes, bread for toast, a waffle maker, orange and apple juice, coffee, tea. It is a non-smoking hotel so it did not have any stale smoke smell. When I asked the front desk about nearby restaurants, they had a full list of the nearby places and also indicated which ones would deliver food. Within a 2 minute walk is a New York style deli and an Italian Restaurant.

Mixed experience

Posted 25-Apr-2016
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Noise level
The employees at the front desk were hospitable. The breakfast was good. The room was small and noisy. I could hear the TV from the next room all night long. This was totally my fault, but I left my whole bag of toiletries in the room. I was hoping the hotel would have contacted me to see how I could get it,.. but they did not. I am in the process of contacting them to figure out how to get it back as the toiletry bag has sentimental value.

We would like to say thank you for taking the time to complete our online survey. We are sorry that you had to deal with noise from the next room. We do have a security guard who would have been able to assist in the matter. We hope that we will get to see you in the future. Have a great day.

We'll Come Back Again!

Posted 20-Apr-2016 on Hotels
This hotel is a good choice for several important reasons: reasonable price, clean rooms, comfortable beds, good range of TV stations for sports and news, close to many towns in NE Long Island, and is close to two good local places to eat like Celebrity Diner and Phil's Pizzeria (with many Italian dishes.) The lobby was very spacious and filled with comfortable reading chairs, and the neighbourhood was one you could walk in with good sidewalks along Jericho Turnpike.

Forget staying anywhere else!

Posted 15-Apr-2016 on Orbitz
Pros: The rooms are very clean and modern, and limit sound so you don't hear neighbors. The hotel staff is very nice, and
Cons: Nothing really. Parking is a bit tight, but that is a minor inconvenience.
Location: Very busy surroundings with many stores and restaurants close by.
I was on a business trip and stayed at 4 other hotels in the area and was not happy with any of those. Then, I found this Comfort Inn. The hotel staff is very professional and friendly. I came in late at night, and Schneider was courteous and checked me in fast with no long wait. The entire room has a modern feel, and the beds are very comfortable. There is a refrigerator and microwave in the room, and a full breakfast in the morning. The rooms are quiet. Many stations on the flat screen tv to watch. Secure entrances with key cards. Located in the middle of Long Island, and in a busy district. I will definitely consider staying here for all my future business visits to Long Island. Would be a family friendly hotel also.

Great location.

Posted 12-Apr-2016
Pros: Good breakfast, comfortable room ,attentive staff.
Cons: More parking.
Location: Good access to highways, good restaurants in area.
Everything was great except for shortage of parking, even though it has added more spaces since our last stay. We will continue to stay here when we come to LA from Texas.

Great value

Posted 11-Apr-2016
Pros: Spotless rooms. Excellent staff.
Cons: Parking
Location: Nearby shopping, restaurants
My family and I were in town for a wedding and stayed at this hotel. We were all pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms. The beds were also quite comfortable. However, I was most impressed by the staff. The front desk employees were friendly from the start, as well as the gentlemen working to put out the lovely complimentary breakfast. The bartender (Rolando) was also kind enough to stay open late and take care of the guests of the wedding who came back to the hotel. Bravo, Comfort Inn Syosset! You have a great staff- and that makes ALL the difference.
