"Very nice, comfortable and accommodating hotel..."
We stayed at the New Hotel for the last two days of our stay in Greece and the hotel was really wonderful. The room was fresh and clean. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were beyond accommodating and helpful. We really enjoyed our time at the hotel and would recommend it to anyone as a landing place in Athens.
"Seeing out the old year and seeing in the New in A"
We were not disappointed with our stay at the Grande Bretagne despite my nervousness at the delay in sending up the bags to our room on our arrival - for a moment I thought they might have been snatched. But further to my e press ion of concern they arrived fairly promptly! The staff were very helpful and very friendly and when we were looking for a restaurant on New Years Eve could not have been more helpful. The restaurant on the top flor is fabulous with an outstanding view of the Acropolis! The pool was a bit small for one who swims for an hour a day but the staff at the spa were very kind and helpful a no the atmosphere was as peaceful as one could wish. We would definitely stay here again!
In the beginning was awful as the room was very very small even for single occupancy , then I complained to the Recepition about the room and the AC they changed the room for us immediately but I believe because it was off season and they have rooms , but it was nice guster
The stuff was friendly and the rooms were clean. They had an excellent breakfast. We liked the hotel but on another floor.
The negative was that our room was located on the first floor with no view. It had a terrible view to a tiny back place with boilers and another building with their view to our room and bathroom.
Hotel location was the best 2 min from Syntagma. Walking distance to all major attraction and Shopping. Ermou st ,Andrianou st in Plaka, monastiraki . Reception was open 24/7 Staff was helpful .Breakfast could be improved , but overall a pleasant stay.
