Location location location! It's next to Syntagma square with all the connections. Metro/tram/bus stations are just 1 minute away, and Acropolis, Plaka, Monastraki are within walking distance (10-15 minutes). Rooms were clean and adequately furnished. Staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast hearty and delicious.
The stuff was friendly and the rooms were clean. They had an excellent breakfast. We liked the hotel but on another floor.
The negative was that our room was located on the first floor with no view. It had a terrible view to a tiny back place with boilers and another building with their view to our room and bathroom.
We stayed mon - fri and the noise from the building site was unbearable from 7am. We checked out on wednesday for another hotel. If the building work was not on, the hotel would have been sufficient for our 4 night stay.

The location of the Pan Hotel, close to Syntagma Square, is excellent. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was reasonably good, though we've had much better at less expensive hotels. (Odd that real fresh-squeezed orange juice -- common in so many hotels in Greece -- was not available.) The facilities were clean and comfortable enough. However, the room was very small. Main issue was that hotel price was higher than other Athens hotels offering better rooms, etc.

This hotel is not the prettiest and it and can be very difficult to find if you're travelling at night. It in a good location for travellers who like to have a few beers and tapas after checking in, then walk off to the acropolis in the morning .
The room and facilities were ok. Staff were friendly and helpful, but probably need a holiday themselves, and if you have time for breakfast, that was surprisingly good too.
Achilleas Hotel is within walking distance from everything. Not only Greece central, but artefacts too. So if you can get by without some super comforts it is very well worth staying here.
Athens’ central square and transportation hub is within 2 km of the picturesque Plaka neighborhood and the Acropolis. The Greek Parliament building is adjacent to the bustling square, where visitors can witness evzones or changing the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. West of the square on Ermou Street is the one of the most fashionable retail districts in the city.
