We had a suite on the 7th floor, overlooking the Acropolis and the surroundings... could see the change of the guard from our balcony, don't miss it at 11:45 am on Sunday, with the band and all... don't bother going down, you will have a way better view up there!
The suite was spacious and luxurious as was expected for the price paid. Butler service was impeccable, and so was the whole staff. Ate at the hotel restaurant on the 8th floor with view of the Acropolis getting lit while the darkness was coming on. Magical! Great good and good recommendation on Greek wines.
The overall hotel is superb and lives to its reputation of being one of the best, if not the best in Athens.
Only negative, pool area a bit too small for the users, but if you get there around 5:30-6:00 pm, you should have a lounge chair without too many problems.
I will go back!
"Excellent, high quality hotel in central Athens. "
From the wonderful staff at front desk you feel you've chosen the right hotel. Check in was quick and professional. The old world charm of the foyer, introduced you to the luxury of the room.
The bed was comfortable , great pillows with excellent in room ammenities.
We had lunch and a dinner in the restaurant, which I would rate world class!
The cuisine is Greek with a modern twist , though the wonderful origins are still there.
I highly recommend the strawberry dessert, which at dinner is a performance for all senses.
All this with the bonus of an Acropolis backdrop.
"Good location near Plaka with great Acroplis view"
The hotel is located near Syntagma Square in Athens in close proximity to the Plaka and within walking distance of the Acropolis. Although the hotel is not the most modern looking hotel, what it lacks in aestetics, it makes up for in its location. The hotel is only a few blocks from Syntagma Square which is located across the street from the Parliament buildings and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The location afforded us great and easy access to the Plaka, Monastiraki, the Acropolis, the National Gardens and many other historical sites in and around Athens.
As mentioned, the hotel could benefit from an upgrade, but the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast buffet was provided on the 10th floor - roof terrace giving a wonderful view of the Acropolis and the Parthenon. However, the breakfast itself left a lot to be desired.
The rooms were acceptible as their primary function of providing a place to sleep. There is a serious lack of security measures at the hotel. There is only one method of locking the door - a handle release deadbolt. There was no chain or additional door opening restraint. There was no peep hole to detect people at the door. There were no safes in the rooms. The balcony had a sliding door with a key lock but no other method of resisting opening the door.
Overall, the experience was fine given that it served as a place to rest after a long day enjoying the sites, tastes and sounds of Athens.

Very clean and comfortable hotel. The room had a balcony overlooking the street. Very close to sights around Athens and the staff are friendly. Free buffet breakfast was a bonus, no hassle and a great way to start the day.

"Great, professional hotel in the heart of the city"
Easy to get around the centre point of athens. Only streets away from syntagma and monesteraki metro stations. Courteous and professional staff with all personal and professional needs met. If in athens on either business or pleasure know that this hotel has everything you may need during your trip.
Athens’ central square and transportation hub is within 2 km of the picturesque Plaka neighborhood and the Acropolis. The Greek Parliament building is adjacent to the bustling square, where visitors can witness evzones or changing the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. West of the square on Ermou Street is the one of the most fashionable retail districts in the city.
