Very old hotel but well kept. Staff were excellent. The hotel does not have an elevator but staff took and retrieved luggage using a small service elevator

The location was everything. Dylan was also super nice and friendly. The rest of the staff were so-so. The carpet in room 102 was filthy. I would not go back.

Superb location in The Rocks. Close to multiple restaurants and shopping as well as Circular Quay. The staff of the hotel went above and beyond to accommodate us. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was smaller than some of the hotels in the area. It was quiet and the staff was excellent. The room was adequate for our needs. It was a little more expensive. The ambiance of the hotel was nice. I will stay there again the next time I am in Sydney.

We only stayed one night here, but the location was fabulous, the room was charming, and it was the most comfortable bed we slept on during the whole 14 nights we were in Australia. Next time we go back to Sydney we are definitely staying here.

Expensive price for very poor stay
Full of mosquitoes, terrible old bed and stuffy, small rooms, for a very high price. The service however, was excellent, friendly and professional staff.

Our rooms was down graded and we where not advised until arrival. was offered a small discount through Hotels.com Sucks. will not use Hotels.com ever again. Thanks all for ruining our Australian vacation

Lovely heritage rooms & feel.A little disappointed the Movies weren’t accessible on our TV & Tahim Terrace was wet but can’t control the weather. Loved Crepe Suzette & location brilliant, so close to all The Rocks & Quay.

It’s in a great location, lots of restaurants within 2 min walk, only 5 minute walk to the wharf for spectacular views of the harbour bridge and opera house whilst dining at award winning restaurants. Rooms were a bit dated and not soundproof. Beds were comfortable. Staff however were outstanding, very accommodating.

Great old property. Professional, helpful and friendly staff. Significntly overpriced for the size of the room. Air conditioning didnt work and the blinds on the windows were faulty. Which id surprising considering the charge.

Nice place. I’m not keen on stairs. I did understand stairs would be on the menu. I’d stay again, it’s convenient parking is close by, plenty of food choices in the area. I didn’t have a suitcase which was good as it would have been difficult to lug it up the stairs. The staff did offer to carry my luggage (had I had any) which was good.

Highly recommended
Thd hotel is very well located, a short walk from Circular Quay. Our room was very comfortable and we had a little view of the top of the Opera House. The staff were exceedingly welcoming and efficient. A little problem with the TV was solved by changing rooms. Proper coffee (either a little plunger or a pod machine) would have been very welcome. Instant coffee is mot a substitute for the real thing, particularly in a boutique hotel.

Overall the stay was fantastic. Beautiful building, amazing staff, comfy spacious room, very close to The Rocks markets and restaurants (1,2,3). The hotel restaurant Tayim is a must go for dinner, nice ambiance, great service and beautiful food. Early bookings essential, a popular place (4,5,6). The crepe restaurant is nice for breakfast, also a popular place (7,8).

Love the Hotel
Great staff. Smooth check in. Comfy bed. A perfect small hotel. I picked the hotel because of its location. It buzzes at night surrounded buy restaurants and bars, and two minutes walk and you are on central quay. I normally stay in The Four Seasons or The Shangri-La. This was much more fun.

Fantastic location. Great views of the Harbour if you are lucky to get a Harbour view room. The rooms are comfortable, clean and have all the amenities you need. Staff were excellent and check in seamless. Close to restaurants, bars, shopping and all other amenities.

The Harbour Rocks Hotel location and historical feel of the property were fantastic. We had a small view of the Opera House from our room window! We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go in downtown Sydney from the hotel. There were many restaurants around the hotel, unfortunately the hotel restaurant was closed on the night we were there, otherwise we would have loved to try it out. We felt very comfortable and Joshua at the front desk was wonderful and gave us many great recommendations.
