Excellent location in Sydney's Rocks area.

Most friendly, efficient staff. Small cost comfortable and beautifully restored and equipped rooms with a pleasing interior decor and ambiance. Our only suggestion: room 205 needs an extra shelf for toiletries, new softer pillows, and we'd have liked to be able to open the window. We will return, and will confidently recommend this hotel to our friends.

Poor value

Hotel was so over priced. I should have gone down the road to the Marriott hotel on the rocks, great room and views and area, same price but the rooms are normal

Hidden gem in Sydney

Posted 13-Apr-2016 on Hotels
Wonderful staff and the hotel is beautiful and eclectic. Great couches and bookcases upon entry ... The staff was very helpful and the location perfect for opera house and botanical gardens and view of harbor bridge. We requested a quiet room to ensure we weren't near a restaurant or anything.

Beyond Fantastic!

I can't speak highly enough of this hotel. It's in thee most perfect location in the Rocks, a stone's throw from Circular Quay. The building itself Is one of those charming old sandstone abodes that has been turned into accommodation and decorated in the most beautiful Parisian kind of way with comfy sofas, fabulous lights, tons of books and there's a cute bar and Creperie on site. The price is fantastic and the staff are lovely too. Too good to be true! From now on, this will be my hotel whenever I visit Sydney.

Great location, cute hate but tiny bathroom

Posted 03-Mar-2016 on Wotif
Pros: Location
Cons: Staff friendliness. The location of the TV makes it difficult to move between the lounge area and the rest of the room.
Location: Great location near many amazing restaurants and close to docks.
Most of the staff where unfriendly and somewhat rude including in the restaurant. Some staff ok. The staff could have made the experience great but sadly did not.

Great location

Posted 28-Feb-2016 on Wotif
Pros: Location, locaiton, location!
Cons: The bathroom was really, really tiny. The need to edge your way around the handbasin to use the shower or toilet was disappointing.
Location: Great location. Weekend street market, the Contemporary Art Gallery, Circular Quay, Harbour Bridge and Opera House are right on the hotel's doorstep.
The location is the main drawcard of this hotel. A weekend street market, the Contemporary Art Gallery, Circular Quay, Harbour Bridge and Opera House are right on its doorstep and The Rocks itself is just beautiful. The hotel staff are pleasant and professional, there's a small but relaxing lobby with a bar and a nice French creperie (with great coffee) is attached to the hotel. Only disappointment of our 25sqm-room was the really tiny shower-ensuite bathroom - you had to edge your way around the handbasin to use the facilities.
