Small friendly and excellent location

Posted 30-Aug-2016
Pros: Cool atmosphere!
Cons: Closer contact to a handful of great local restaurants so that the personality of the hotel extends when their guests eat out.
Location: The Rocks - easy access to the whole of Sydney. For first timers in the city there are awesome views of the opera house and bridge within 5 min walk.
3 days in Sydney - brilliant choice of hotel. All staff we met were helpful and friendly. The Rocks is ideal to explore the city or just wander around locally amongst the bars and small restaurants.

Excellent location in Sydney's Rocks area.

Most friendly, efficient staff. Small cost comfortable and beautifully restored and equipped rooms with a pleasing interior decor and ambiance. Our only suggestion: room 205 needs an extra shelf for toiletries, new softer pillows, and we'd have liked to be able to open the window. We will return, and will confidently recommend this hotel to our friends.

Fabulous spot

Posted 28-May-2016 on Wotif
Cons: We were happy with everything
Location: Close to circular quay, harbour bridge , opera house
Great place to stay, staff were friendly and informative, can't comment on the restaurant as we didn't eat there but we enjoyed our time having drinks in the bar/foyer/library. Our room looked out over the Opera House until a cruise ship docked- pretty impressive! Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Don't miss your chance to stay at this hotel

Everything about this hotel was fantastic. I could not fault a single thing. It was a real pleasure to stay somewhere that was not only fabulously convenient to everything but the staff were friendly, helpful and no request was too much trouble for them. Great stay. Highly recommendable.

Sydney short break

Posted 13-May-2016 on Hotels
Ideal location, close to Circular Quay. Bathroom small. We had room 113 on ground floor which was near to reception & bar, so some noise from there, but not late on so didn't worry us. It also looked onto the internal atrium and that was noisy early evening, but again not late.

Poor value

Hotel was so over priced. I should have gone down the road to the Marriott hotel on the rocks, great room and views and area, same price but the rooms are normal

Hidden gem in Sydney

Posted 13-Apr-2016 on Hotels
Wonderful staff and the hotel is beautiful and eclectic. Great couches and bookcases upon entry ... The staff was very helpful and the location perfect for opera house and botanical gardens and view of harbor bridge. We requested a quiet room to ensure we weren't near a restaurant or anything.
