You can not find a better location in Sydney. In the heart of the historic rocks district and close enough to the central business district while avoiding all the bustle and noise outside. Within walking distance to great pubs, food, shopping and attractions including the Sydney Opera House. Added bonus if taking a cruise, the passenger terminal is a short stroll just 2.5 blocks away. Cam not say enough about location.

I liked to the location and air conditioning. The bathroom was lovely, spacious and very clean. Checking out at 11am was a bonus too. We will be back.

The tag line of this hotel is that it’s a memorable stay. Well it was certainly memorable for all the wrong reasons. The rank and file staff were great but the higher the rank, the worse the attitude. I do not recommend this hotel. When I checked in, there was faeces stuck to the toilet bowl. Yes of course this can happen but the response of the Duty Manager was “Are you sure you didn’t use the toilet?” Uhm yeah I think I’d remember if I used the toilet in the last hour. Ask me again in 50 years when I am very old. Then she said, “Oh this has never happened to us before”. Yes I’m so happy for you but are you implying I must be making up stories or that I just have very bad luck? Then after a long day, I came back to find the ceiling above the shower dripping dirty yellow water. The response of the General Manager was “We didn’t mean for this to happen”. Obviously she must have imagined me accusing her of deliberately sabotaging my room. What a completely ridiculous response. We had breakfast at the adjoining restaurant and had numerous problems getting the ladies there to understand us over a myriad of issues as I think English is not a first language for either of them, not their fault. Anyway, this same General Manager was there talking to us about the rooms we had at the hotel and we discovered the restaurant and hotel to be under the same management. Significantly we then overheard her saying telling another guest at the hotel that there is a 15% discount for hot

The room was booked in advance. Then we were shown to a room that was already in use. Seemingly as a last resort we were given another room under the reception area near a bar area that had a sliding door onto the room. The room wasn’t too noise though. The issue was that the prior occupant must have left the door open and the room subsequently was full of mosquitoes. We asked staff to assist whilst we went to dinner. Then when we came back the room door was ajar and still during the course of the long long night we would have killed another 30 mosquitoes. When we explained to the staff they err very good and as we checked out allowed us complimentary parking.
