Parking is appaling

Posted 11-May-2017
Parking, fully booked reserved spacing and a show stopped us from parking in public space opposite. We had to wait out for someone to leave public spot. The dimmer lights had a mind of their own. The bathroom, the fan was so blocked it didn't work. Called for 2 more pillows and only received one. Mattress, I wouldn't let my dog sleep in it, claimed they are new Hypnos... I checked, they're not!!... shower, difficult to work as two knobs would not turn together and getting a useable temp was terrible. No fan meant the tiny bathroom over heated and you end up opening the door to the bedroom to let the steam, heat out just to finish getting ready... however, staff were polite and a well stocked tea tray... close to town!!

Rooms small and stuffy

Posted 20-Apr-2017
Pros: Beautifully decorated hotel, clean and well run
Cons: Sound proof the rooms, make the rooms a little larger.
Location: Location was good for Guildford City Centre
Beautifully decorated hotel, clean and well run. Front desk staff very friendly enough and not that efficient, I checked in but then at around 10pm, I was phoned (luckily I was awake) and asked to sign the check-in sheet (I did it when I checked in and they lost it). The room however was small and stuffy, I was listening to the amorous couple next door all night as well as the ceiling creaking every time the guests upstairs moved in their bed. A very claustrophobic room.

Although the main entrance was not something special, the rooms were very nice and clean.

No aircon - very noisy road otherwise good

Posted 17-Jul-2013 on Hotels
Great apart from no air conditioning so needed windows open at night and traffic/passers by quite noisy, woken up several times. Service was great and breakfast good. Would stay again but not when temperatures are 30 degrees and/or ask for a room not at the front of the hotel!

lovely king size

The breakfast was great, and lots of it.We had a shopping break, but it would be a great place to go to see a show in G-Live.If you walk 2 mins down the road. You are spoilt for choice to eat out.If i have to say something not so good,it would be the parking. On certain days, the cars were going into the overflow car park.I still dont think the car park is good enough for the size of the hotel. After saying that,we will return again.I will park up, and leave it for the whole duration

It will be hard to find a better breakfast than the one we enjoyed at the Mandolay.
