We stayed 6 nights in a Deluxe Palm Suite which was big enough for 2 of us. Great to have two sinks! Had all the amenities you would expect of a resort of this standard with the added touches of choosing your pillow type, room scent and flowers! All 97 rooms face the gorgeous pool which was always clean and as low season not too hard to get a lounger around. The grounds were immaculately kept.
The staff were always helpful, welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
A buffet breakfast was included each day with a selection of cold, hot and Thai options. Each day a few things changed - after 6 days was looking for a variety. Fresh juices and something you often don't get at a breakfast buffet was free sparkling wine and Barista coffees. Nice touch.
Other than breakfast we didn't eat at the resort as it was a little pricey compared to other Thai options around. The pool bar/snack was closed most of the time due to rain so the dining options were limited. They could really do with a relaxed coffee/snack bar area but not sure where they would put it.
The resort is relatively small and didn't take long to walk from your room to anywhere.
Also used the gym a few times which had a good selection of equipment.
The resort is not beachfront or have sea views but Surin beach is only 150m walk away and a nice, clean, quiet beach. The waves were a little dumpy at this time of the year but the water was warm.
Enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
We only stayed here for one night but the hotel was close to the beach and our room was lovely. The reception staff were nice (although they ripped us off on the taxi fare to the airport (we didn't realise at the time!) - the hotel restaurant was great, service was very slow and they had sold out of most of the menu.
The very friendly and helpful staff went out of their way to make this a very pleasant stay. The hotel is in a good location with the beach & beach front dining a short walk over the road & being able to use the pool was also a good option. Room was even better than it looked in the photos - very large, clean, airy & well presented.
Nice quiet hotel between surin and bangtao beaches. Very remote - but walking distance to both beach areas. Not many options to eat around but Audy Restaurant (right I front of hotel) was great! With awesome staff ! Our room was beautiful - with full kitchen and amenities. Overall great hotel if you want something quiet.
The Chava Resort is located near Surin Beach, smaller and much quieter than some of the more popular beach areas in Phuket. The beach and surrounding area offer a good selection of restaurants, masseuses, loungers, and activities like jetskis, parasailing, waterskiing, etc., but also a good spot to chill and enjoy the tranquility and pristine beach. Great if you've got small kids. The hotel is a short walk to the beach, across a small park. Some of the suites were still under construction, but the disruption was minimal. We were there at the end of low season (late October), so occupancy was very low. Service was great. Our unit was a 2 bed / 2 bath apartment, with full kitchen, liviing and dining rooms, laundry, and our own plunge pool. Again, great for a family. Overall the hotel facilities were nice but not extensive. Only complaint: no on-site gym, although you can use the facilities at a neighbouring hotel for a daily fee. Better yet, just go for a swim and a walk on the beach.
In western Phuket, Surin Beach is also called “Millionaires row” reflecting luxury homes and hotels in its environs. Powdery white sand, clear blue waters, and high waves in the dry season allow snorkeling and surfing. Restaurants and cafes abound on the beach, serving diverse cuisine. Sun loungers and umbrellas are offered for a fee. The Ban Thao Mosque in Surin Village is a major attraction.
