It is a great place to stay. It is really comfortable and beautiful. Hotell staff is very nice and smile all the time. Also very helpful. One of the greatest thing is bed. Bed is very comfortable and rooms are great.. All in all it is great place to stay. I would love to go there again...
We stayed at the Manathai Hotel for a week and absolutely loved it! It was very close to Surin Beach which had a lot of excellent food options every night. We had breakfast included with our room and loved the buffet breakfast with the menu options which included standard western breakfasts, but also authentic Thai breakfasts.
There was one morning the breakfast hall was busier then normal and the wait for food was a bit longer. but the staff were extremely friendly and were great at assisting us in all things especially when it came to booking tours, transportation and getting money out!
loved it and would definitely return if we were to return to Thailand!
The Surin Hotel is by far one of the best hotel in Phuket I’ve ever experienced. It was the third time for me to visit the island and I’ve been in other hotels/resorts but the Surin has exceeded my expectations. The whole property is well maintained with high attentions to details , it has a very simple yet charming décor and a consistent color palette throughout the resort, which helps to relax your senses. The staff were attentive and well trained to deal with any situations which I found it was amazing considering that we had some special requests. I was very impressed with the quality of their service from the moment we checked-in until the very last when we got into the taxi to leave the hotel. The SPA is just perfect and their beach Bar does amazing cocktails and smoothies. The pool is great but I found the water temperature was too warm. We have spent 4 days and we were able to relax and enjoy the beach. Can’t wait to go back.
Friendly Hotel within a 10 minute walk to the beach. Hotel cleaniness to a high standard. Small family run Hotel with two pools and a few sun lounges. Breakfast is buffet style with a mixture of English/Thai which was very satisfactory for us. Bedroom very large and comfortable with shower facilities. Clean towels everyday with 2 small bottles of complimentary water. The room has a mini safe and a large fridge. The only comment is that if stairs are difficult request a downstairs room which we did on the booking form and were allocated one.
I would like to congratulate all the Staff on the pride they take in the running of this hotel
Originally, I planned to stay for 4 nights. I ended up staying 11 and still found it difficult to leave after that...
This testifies how nice of a time I had.
Lets list the plus sides of this hotel:
- Location is perfect, 3 mins walk from the beach. (It's actually right next to places like the Twinpalm, Chava and DoubleTree resort. These go for about 5 times the rate of Surin Sweet)
- All amenities one could need; nice pool, wifi, international tv channels, hairdryer, thee and coffee making facilities, fridge, nice bar, good breakfast, etc
- Super nice staff
- And all this at a very reasonable price
The down sides:
- It's old, and especially from the outside, this shows. Didn't bother me though.
- Wifi in the room was less then reliable. Lobby/Pool area worked perfect though.
- I stayed in a superior room, which has a view. Cheaper rooms look out on a wall.
- No elevator. So if you have trouble climbing stairs, ask for a room on the lower floor.
The staff is really nice, some nights after hours they go to a bar nearby to shoot some pool, they invite guests to come along too. A nice way to get to know each other and have fun.
All in all I would definately recommend this place. It's one of the few affordable places in Surin Beach. I would love to stay again sometime.
good clean hotel, Staff very helpful and speak fairly good English. 5-8 minutes walk to the surin beach. only issue I had was that there were no warm water to shower but I did not report to the hotel staff and just toke cold showers all the days I was there.
In western Phuket, Surin Beach is also called “Millionaires row” reflecting luxury homes and hotels in its environs. Powdery white sand, clear blue waters, and high waves in the dry season allow snorkeling and surfing. Restaurants and cafes abound on the beach, serving diverse cuisine. Sun loungers and umbrellas are offered for a fee. The Ban Thao Mosque in Surin Village is a major attraction.
