5/5 Excellent
A full 5 stars!
"We had a great room overlooking the ocean. Swimming in the sea and the pool was excellent. Room service was efficient. TV had a few sound problems but this was probably the programme provider rather than the set. Checkin and checkout were efficient with taxi waiting to return us to the airport. These factors all contributed to our 5 star rating. "
"We just got back yesterday…we had a wonderful time. We got a marvelous upgrade and got an ocean view room on the first floor, so we were able to walk out of our room and onto the beach. While the resort was one of the smaller we’ve been to, it was very nice. Food was very good - 4 restaurants , one which was buffet (open for breakfast, lunch and dinner) a second that offered lunch from 12-4 (we only went there once as my wife didn’t like the options), an Asian and a steakhouse. Both were amazing. As part of our all inclusive we could only go to the Asian and the steakhouse one time. The beach was very nice. A few rocks, but water was beautiful turquoise color, and crystal clear. The best part of the resort were the staff. The people of Barbados are the friendliest you will ever meet. Didn’t meet one local that didn’t have a smile on their face. Would deft recommend this place as we certainly would go back again. "

"Most amazing place: calm/relaxing with stunning views (especially at sunset) plus beautiful beach/pools & friendly staff. Woke up daily to see race horses in bay (5 mins later next to them). Many days saw monkeys, close up, eating mangoes just on roadside to Hilton; plenty of turtles in sea by Barbados Blue (free rentals of SUPs for Hilton guests). Free WiFi (if join Hilton Honors prior, free). Free rum punch on arrival. Comfy bed, spacious/clean room. Great bathroom.
No mosquitoes.
Friendlies staff ever met: Deandre, Francelia, Zico & Jackie, plus pool staff. Yoga, Zumba free.
Happy hour at Water’s Edge & watching their daily entertainment is a must; my fav was Monday’s steel band lady. Careenage Rum Stop also has happy hour on cocktails. Good magician there but think season up. Cuppa cafe handy for ice cream. Soccer/sports on tvs in hotel bars.
Fridge in room big. Thorough maid.
Plenty of choices for food in hotel or go out. Cheaper/yummy food within 5 mins for lunch: Follow de Smoke & Cuz’s.
Nearby for breakfast is Sage & more of a walk there’s Blush. Coffy’s for authentic Bajan food. Bali Beach food good/lovely setting & De Breakfast Place.
Great location for Bridgetown capital plus Washington house, museum & Thursdays’ Garrison Savannah military band at noon.
Rent a car, & soon drive to Hastings/rest of South coast or up West/North/East/centre. Drive in cinema not far.
Area safe.

Easter bunny, free sno cones/lollies, tie dye shirts & petting reptile zoo! "

"Sugar Cane and Spa was amazing! We took the all inclusive package and the food and drinks were incredible far better than most.
It is definitely an older crowd and in a quieter area of the island but that did not bother us and it is not impossible to get around if you feel like exploring . The Hotel offers a free bus shuttle to the secluded and beautiful Heywoods Beach and Speightstown where they stop at a larger bus terminal that can take most places on the island. That being said not much is walkable, but if you’re just looking to unwind for a few days and escape the busier areas Sugar Cane is for you! We did not have a chance to use the spa services but they looked lovely and we really enjoyed the pool and Gully Walk. Amazing resort grounds and awesome staff would go back tomorrow! "
