Based on reviews and last minute availability we were skeptical.
Yet, our only negative was a large recent grease stain on the carpet. However, they were starting renovations so that I can see why they deferred new carpet until then. We enjoyed the lower price for the room.
Otherwise the room was very, very clean. The bedding was nice and the bed very comfortable. The pull out sofa bed was comfortable as well.
The small kitchenette was adequately supplied for two and it was a nice gesture that the plates, glasses bowls etc were vacuum sealed so that you were sure of cleanliness.
The bathroom was nice, on the small side but adequate counter and general space, shower/tub clean with nice hot water.
The breakfast was good with a variety that should be adequate for most tastes: there was miso soap and rice for the Asian palate, there was fresh whole fruit as well as cut up fresh fruit, boiled eggs, hot dishes that varied each day (including a vegetarian spinach frittata on at least one day), hot and cold cereals and an assortment of breads (the scones were delicious but not available daily). There were a variety of juices, milk, teas (great choices), coffee and hot chocolate.
The location was exceptional. It was next to a shopping center-to close to drive!. So, close by was Starbucks, Jamba Juice etc. Across the street was a pharmacy, groceries. Restaurants were many and varied and some delivered.
No question that if I have to go back to Sunnyvale I will stay there.
This was a beautiful hotel. We stayed in one of their Villas and I was surprised at how large this room was. It was basically a 1 bedroom apartment with a fireplace and full kitchen. The price was unbelievable! I expected this to a tiny hotel room based on the price. And the full, hit breakfast was fantastic! I will stay at this hotel every time I'm in the area.
