room comfort not good

Posted 16-Aug-2015
Pros: Nice location. Good food.
Cons: Adding a climate controlled environment.
The room was too hot with no alternatives to cool it down. It was so hot, we couldn't sleep.

Short but nice stay

Posted 07-Aug-2015
Pros: Location, facilities, staff.
Cons: Short stay, I didn't notice anything needs to be improved.
I am pleased with my little there, me and my kids, definitely I will come back for some hiking.

Hotel in beautiful setting

Posted 07-Aug-2015
Beautiful setting but bed was horrible and hot tub surrounded by a large group of people dining, awkward!

Sun Peaks 2015

Posted 06-Aug-2015
The hotel was very noisy till 12:30am at night. The beds were uncomfortable and pillows lumpy and hard. Dish cloth and dish towel smelled like rancid oil. The rest of our vacation at Sun peaks was incredible!

Really good hotel in an amazing environment

Posted 03-Aug-2015
Pros: Look and feel
Cons: Parking space AC in rooms
We came to the area while traveling towards Jasper and just passed there We were very surprised from the area and the hotel which was rather cheap to how it looks and feel The only annoying thing was the parking which apparently they don't have enough space

My stay at the Cahilty.

Posted 15-Apr-2015 on Hotels
very nice visit. However, I have respiratory issues so climbing the stairs to the bedroom is not ideal for me. This time, the bed was centrally situated in the room, so the light was better. The last time I stayed, the bed was shoved against the wall and it wasn't comfortable or conducive to reading. Otherwise, a good stay. THANKYOU !!

Cahilty Lodge has had its day

Posted 06-Apr-2015
Pros: It was close to the ski hill and clean.
Cons: The woodwork and the colour they painted everything inside. Too grey.
Location: The village is just lovely and the skiing grand.
Really and honestly, our stay was comfortable and clean. No problem there, but I find in general, that the building is run down. They have updated by changing the carpets and repainting, but they repainted the inside drab greys. Coming from Vancouver, I don't like grey. Also, there are a lot of chips and dents in the wood. I would stay again only because it's less expensive, but I didn't find it all that nice.

Not a great stay

Posted 30-Mar-2015 on Hotels
The room was nice and spacious, lots of little extras included. Unfortunately the hida bed was very uncomfortable and only included 2 very small blankets. The room heater took a very long time to work and our room was located very close to the main entrance which mean during the events going on at the time we heard many drunk loud people throughout the night. Check out time was earlier than I've seen at most hotels I've stayed at, at 10:00 am.

We are sorry to hear you did not thoroughly enjoy your stay with us. We do have extra blankets available upon request and would have been more than happy to provide some if we were made aware. For any future stays please do keep this in mind and please also note we would be more than happy to place you in a much quieter room as well. We hope you will come and give us another try!
