Nice location but in major need of renovation

Posted 19-Jan-2017
Hotel is very dated, thin walls and floors where you can hear everything above and next to your room. Not enough parking. Have to park in another lot across the street when the lot next to the hotel fills up. Continental breakfast not on par with other hotels in area. No hot food is served - just cereal, bread, and muffins.

Hotel is older, but rooms are updated and comfortable. Bed are decent and the shower gets nice and hot! Stayed there a few nights to go skiing. Super 8 was adequate and affordable.

woke around 10. no fresh coffee. claims, coffee is stopped at 10am. k...umm..how bout those bisquits and gravy i got while down at your location in new mexico? nope. just cold food. poor attitude, poor customer service. highly disappointed at my last stay. oh, not to mention...., 3 floors should provide some adequate spacing yeah? couldn't find 1 available spot to park our car in the 2 ft of snow. never going back! until coffee is served till 11 alongside with bisquits and gravy amongst other noted, i'll be staying away. ps. beds, tv, room was nice, etc. though, no dryer, no fan, no hairdryer. simple commonalities. make it happen!

Do not trust staff, get everything in writing!!!!

Posted 12-Jan-2017
Pros: nothing
Cons: honest employee/mgt staff
Location: right next to highway, must be a joy at night with all the trucks and snow plows with flashing lights
Was stuck in Dillon, due to avalanche on I-70, so I checked in to hotel to wait out the delay. We only sat on bed and watched tv. It was about 12:30 pm. About 3:30-4 pm, they reopened I-70, so we decided to leave, as we needed to get home and to work. As we were leaving, I mentioned to front desk clerk that we were leaving(they had signs at the front door saying they were "sold out"), if they wanted to try to resell. He was interested and went and spoke with a co-worker. They asked if they could inspect room, I said absolutely. They both came to the room, as my wife and I gathered our stuff. They looked around, and then we all left the room. We stopped at front desk, the co-worker got on the computer. She said we were all set, I asked if I needed a receipt, she told me no need, as that she had already reversed the charges. As we were in the middle of a winter weather advisory, We , in a bit of time crunch to get out of the mountains before more weather shut down the highway again, so we left.. They, the 2 front desk workers, even said "if you have any questions or problems to just call, and to remember them they next time we need a place to stay. While I was leaving either way, and I was going to have spend the money anyway, isn't the point. The point is that they assured me of one thing, now they a claiming,"that they are adhering to their no cancellation policy"and I will receive no refund.

Worst nights stay

Posted 08-Jan-2017
The room smelled terrible on arrival, the heater wasn't properly working so we froze the whole night. The breakfast was terrible, couldn't even eat a thing. The only thing this hotel has going for it is location.

Great Location, Good Price for a Short Stay

Posted 26-Nov-2016
PROS: I got this room on sale for a really really good price, especially during the Thanksgiving holiday. The staff was very nice. Free breakfast (not much to eat but can't complain for price). Great location - lots of places to eat, shop, close to where we are Skiing. CONS: Not clean, it's an older hotel, plus no elevators. Not good if you have problems carrying suitcases up two flights of stairs. Plus the heater barely worked. Good place if you have a short stay and need somewhere to sleep. It was an OK place, remember you get what you pay for.

Free breakfast was very disappointing compared to normal options available at a complementary breakfast

Great for a quick overnight

Posted 16-Sep-2016
Pros: Love the location.
Cons: Clean carpets and bedspreads more often.
Location: Great location with easy access to hiking, sailing and cycling!
Checked in late, the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast could be improved as there were not hot choices or protein, but the coffee was fresh and hot! The room was due for a deep cleaning- carpets etc., but it was otherwise clean.
